This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.
Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.
Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.
This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

Ultralight Magnification
by David
Glass: Very clear with a nice field of view and good color / light transmission.
Reticle: Nice, quick, and simple.
Eye box: Slightly limited, but for what you're getting, it's a fantastic balance.
Mount: They're stackable! This means you can get the optic perfectly positioned to mitigate the aforementioned limitations with the eye box and to retain a somewhat neutral head position while utilizing the optic. Screws are pre-loaded with Loctite which is appreciated.
This is THE way to get an ultralight, simple, rugged, and minimalistic magnified aiming solution on your rig, and you are able to do so at a great price. Thanks for another great offering, PA!
Simple, Minimalist Perfection
by David J
Lightweight - The lightest option (I think) that enables a magnified aiming solution.
Simple - Fixed magnification, auto shutoff illumination, and a simple BDC reticle. This combination of features promotes simplicity, which promotes speed.
Glass - Sharp reticle and excellent clarity, color, and light transmission.
Mounting - No issues. Mounts are "stackable" meaning they can be combined to push the optic further up and back, enabling a more natural and upright head position (helps defeat minor eye box constraints).
Illumination - Bright enough for typical intents. Leave it on at moderate brightness, as the auto-shutoff activates at 2 minutes, then again after the system is touched.
Durability - No issues thus far.
Due to the combination of the above attributes, This has become a favorite optic for an ultralight general-purpose setup where simplicity is key in addition to having a touch of magnification. Solid work, PA.
Well Worth the Money

Don’t think twice about buying this. This has an incredible reticle, small and easy to adjust for zeroing, and includes lots of mounting options. I can’t think of anything on the market in 3X that’s a better deal. I was hitting steel out to 450 yards with no trouble but that’s an extreme for me.
Awesome Optic!
by Phil
Fantastic quality optic! Build is great, compact/lightness is great! The mount options are a nice plus! My only gripe is I wish the eye relief was slightly better. I have it all the way back on my AR. Which is fine, but cant run backup sights because I need to have the optic mounted so far back to see. Luckily the optic is etched so I don't really need backups. PA is great tooo because though my tyrannical state of IL outlawed items they ship right to my door and i really appreciate that!
So far so good
by Christopher
I have mine mounted to a SCAR 17, which will normally beat the hell out of scopes after too many rounds fired. Other than a barely noticeable downgrade in glass clarity, this optic compares very favorably to a TA-31F ACOG I have mounted on an AR carbine.
My ONLY complaint, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that I’d prefer it to be a 4x rather than a 3x…but that’s just because I have 70 yr old eyeballs now. But I recognize that making it a 4x in this small of a package may not be possible—at least maybe not in the price range it’s currently offered at.
I am a fan of Primary Arms optics and own several, including two 1-6x ACSS FFP scopes (5.56 & 7.62x39/.300 Blk), an RDS, and the 1x version of this prism optic. Even though I also own several other much more expensive high-quality optics with fancy reticles from other manufacturers, I’m finding that the ACSS reticle-equipped optics have become my go-to scopes for setting up practical use rifles.
Hitting Steel at 300 like it’s Nothing
by Growling Bear
I am no sharp shooter by any means. First time out with this optic on my new SFAR that I’d never shot before, I was crushing it from 50 to 300 yards. Love the green chevron and the tree. Makes it super easy to line up on a steel target. I am definitely looking forward to do some hunting with this optic. It has many great qualities like being lightweight, small, rugged, great sight picture & FOV , fast target acquisition and the green chevron reticle is BA! Oh, the price is Excellente!!
Best lightweight optic ever!
by Mickey
I have a lightweight AR build whose goal was to stay under 7lbs with as much capability as possible. For years it has had a 5oz Hilo sun red dot on it and it has been fine but I decided it needed magnification. I scoured the market for something that wouldn’t ruin the handiness of my rifle and found this! It’s barely heavier than a red dot, it has a great reticle, and its eye box and eye relief are great! Best magnified optic for a lightweight rifle!
Excellent!

I have several types PA optics on various builds and all are great. This one is no exception. Clear glass and nice sized reticle. I am able to get clear picture to 200 yds. I'm hoping for a 5x in this package size soon. That would be better yet.
Great scope, fast target acquistion, crystal clear optics
by Kevin Pezzano -
I purchased this scope after reading the reviews and seeing the video for a new AR-15 build. I was planning on a Red Dot and magnifier but this was a much better option. The glass is crystal clear, the reticle is top notch and the illumination can't be beat. After using this for a few hundred rounds I am so happy with my purchase!! It was easy to zero and I expect years of use out of this scope. This is the second Primary Arms scope I have purchased and i will be back again for my next scope purchase.
probably the best small optic on the market

Crystal clear, works like a champ... Primary Arms is my ONLY resource for optics...
