After rigorous field testing, this optic has been given a silver-tier rating by the National Tactical Officers Association.
This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.
Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.
Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.
This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

Right optic for the job
by Michael
Excellent optic, reticle and magnification for 0-200 yds. Lightweight. Only "wish list" item is a QD base or flip out mount so iron sights are useful.
love it
by ronald
used this on a 308 build wanted to keep the whole gun as light as possible due to shoulder problems the optic is extremely light and very useable don't think I personally would want to use it past 200 yards but for what I wanted it is spectacular
Great optic….
by Father Gary
I have many different optics, ACOGs, ElCANS, Etc….For the money this is an outstanding optic. I used an ACOG in Afghanistan and I would gladly take this to combat. The holdnovers are perfect and the clarity of the glass is great. They are built like a tank. Only thing I don’t like is it’s made in China, but I am sure they will fix that some day. But the optic is 5 stars, I cannot give 5 until is made in the US or a free country.
not my cup of tea
by Kevin -
I bought one to pair with a PA micro 3x magnifier on an AR10 build. The eye relief is so outrageously short that it is unusable when mounted in front of the magnifier. Also, I've found the glass to not be very clear. A regretful purchase.

probably the best small optic on the market

Crystal clear, works like a champ... Primary Arms is my ONLY resource for optics...
Great scope, fast target acquistion, crystal clear optics
by Kevin Pezzano -
I purchased this scope after reading the reviews and seeing the video for a new AR-15 build. I was planning on a Red Dot and magnifier but this was a much better option. The glass is crystal clear, the reticle is top notch and the illumination can't be beat. After using this for a few hundred rounds I am so happy with my purchase!! It was easy to zero and I expect years of use out of this scope. This is the second Primary Arms scope I have purchased and i will be back again for my next scope purchase.
Excellent!

I have several types PA optics on various builds and all are great. This one is no exception. Clear glass and nice sized reticle. I am able to get clear picture to 200 yds. I'm hoping for a 5x in this package size soon. That would be better yet.
Best lightweight optic ever!
by Mickey
I have a lightweight AR build whose goal was to stay under 7lbs with as much capability as possible. For years it has had a 5oz Hilo sun red dot on it and it has been fine but I decided it needed magnification. I scoured the market for something that wouldn’t ruin the handiness of my rifle and found this! It’s barely heavier than a red dot, it has a great reticle, and its eye box and eye relief are great! Best magnified optic for a lightweight rifle!
Hitting Steel at 300 like it’s Nothing
by Growling Bear
I am no sharp shooter by any means. First time out with this optic on my new SFAR that I’d never shot before, I was crushing it from 50 to 300 yards. Love the green chevron and the tree. Makes it super easy to line up on a steel target. I am definitely looking forward to do some hunting with this optic. It has many great qualities like being lightweight, small, rugged, great sight picture & FOV , fast target acquisition and the green chevron reticle is BA! Oh, the price is Excellente!!
So far so good
by Christopher
I have mine mounted to a SCAR 17, which will normally beat the hell out of scopes after too many rounds fired. Other than a barely noticeable downgrade in glass clarity, this optic compares very favorably to a TA-31F ACOG I have mounted on an AR carbine.
My ONLY complaint, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that I’d prefer it to be a 4x rather than a 3x…but that’s just because I have 70 yr old eyeballs now. But I recognize that making it a 4x in this small of a package may not be possible—at least maybe not in the price range it’s currently offered at.
I am a fan of Primary Arms optics and own several, including two 1-6x ACSS FFP scopes (5.56 & 7.62x39/.300 Blk), an RDS, and the 1x version of this prism optic. Even though I also own several other much more expensive high-quality optics with fancy reticles from other manufacturers, I’m finding that the ACSS reticle-equipped optics have become my go-to scopes for setting up practical use rifles.
