After rigorous field testing, this optic has been given a silver-tier rating by the National Tactical Officers Association and is a 2022 Industry Choice Awards (ICA) red dot of the year winner!

This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.

Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.

Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.

This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

A Great Optic

by

An excellent CQB sight system with enough precision to get solid hits on the E silhouette at 300M or further. Used a carbine with home-rolled MK262 and had accuracy that was more than adequate to "take out the trash" in an urban environment. Let me burn out a barrel or two and I will do a follow-up.

Incredible optic for the money

by -

I feel like I have to compare this to ACOGs because of how nice this microprism is. You get very generous eye relief, super lightweight and compact, while giving you an awesome reticle and clarity. Now the clarity isn't as good as something like a Trijicon TA11 but this is so much more worth while being a fraction of the cost. If you are on the fence about this optic, just go ahead and give it a try.

Best Close Quarters Optic

by

I put mine on my Sig 716i .308win and it's the perfect optic. Tried regular Sig Red Dot (no) ..Tried 1x8 Optics with ACS (no). This thing is fast and accurate. I set it up like instructed and it is DEAD-ON all the way out to 350yds ... shooting A-Zone Steel Targets. Have now installed 2/3 size IPSC targets out to 500yds. ... will see if everything still hold true. Give it a try.

Best for the money

by -

I had a tough time trying to not compare this optic to an ACOG. It is that good. For a little over $300, I got the best optic for the money. Eye relief, weight, and profile are great. I can't see any difference in color when looking through the glass, and the only negative I have to say is that this glass isn't as clear as a Trijicon ACOG, but that comes at over $1k. I highly recommend this optic.

My favorite optic

by -

I was a little worried the retical marking may be too small but it is very easy to see and use. I liked the variation in mounting options so I could get the height and fore and aft just right. Got an AK to get an optic for and this is going on it as well.

Eye relief is quite short

by

Pros: lightweight, compact, great glass, huge FOV, feels solid and well-made

Cons: the eye relief and eyebox is very tight. I understand that to have FOV, you have to give up eye relief. However this scope’s eye relief makes it difficult to work on AK mounts. I purchased the Midwest Industries Mini ACOG mount with this scope. It turns out I will need to find a new mounting solution. If you’re mounting it to an AK, you’ll meed the eyepiece about where the takedown button is located. That’s how close your eye needs to be.

Love it

by

Perfect addition to my AR-308 to shed some weight.
The 3X is a perfect amount of magnification for my short range hunting needs

Better than an ACOG for a third the price.

by

I used the ACOG on both deployments and loved everything about it except the eye relief. This thing has better eye relief, feels just as rugged, and is much lighter and smaller for a third of the price. The ACSS raptor reticle is also a huge upgrade over the ACOG for CQB situations. Absolutely love my purchase and it was well worth the wait. If you're a fan of the ACOG then I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Nearly perfect

by

There is so much that I like about this optic. It has replaced an Eotech and magnifier on my duty patrol rifle. It's a significant weight savings over the Eotech alone. It's eye relief is much longer than an Trijicon ACOG (my old Marine Corps optic that I hated) and much more forgiving. I took it out to 500 and was able to consistently engage a 1/2 IPSC sized plate. The BDC is dead on for my 14.5" with 55 grain ammo. My only suggestion would be a cross or stadia line that is place 34 MOA below the tip of the chevron for close in zero/offset. It would be damn near the perfect duty optic with that. I'm hesitant to give it a full five star at the moment, I would need a good six months of it bouncing around in a patrol car and retaining zero. Would like to get my whole department outfitted with these.

Interesting. Great value for money.

For $350 and 8oz this thing is nuts. On a lightweight build, nothing is going to be as capable for the weight-- plus the convenience of not having a magnifier. There's a case to size up to the PA 5x for a better image, considerably more range, and a place to mount a dot up top. For me, this is perfectly good for my potential use cases.
