This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.
Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.
Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.
This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

The ACSS® Raptor 5.56/.308-YP reticle is part of the patented ACSS Reticle series.
The Advanced Combined Sighting System (ACSS®) is a high-performance reticle solution to the challenges of modern marksmanship, distilling complex mathematics into intuitive holdovers that enhance your speed and precision. Each ACSS reticle is specially designed to outperform in real-world applications, incorporating a mix of tools to deliver instant firing solutions. These tools may include ballistic drop compensation, auto-ranging stadia, wind holds, moving target leads, or an infinitely-precise center chevron.
Optimized for the SLx MicroPrism, the ACSS-Raptor5.56/.308-YP reticle adopts the features of the beloved ACSS Raptor reticle to a prismatic optic design. The brightly illuminated outer horseshoe improves acquisition speed for close-quarters shooting, while the center chevron acts as an infinitely precise aiming point for enhanced accuracy. This reticle also includes auto-ranging ballistic holdovers for 5.56, .308, and similar cartridges in 100-yard increments with included 5-mph and 10-mph crosswind holds.

3x works
by Abe
I really like this optic. Practical and easy to use. Mounted on a carry handle, you have your irons right there too and it’s comfortably placed without craning your neck. Major benefit of this optic is if your eye is farther away it works very much like a green dot, because the reticle is still visible in the scope shadow with somewhat similar feel and eyebox “wiggle room”. Pull your eye closer and you’ve get magnified target ID with ranging out to 600 yards and good enough glass to do it with a reticle that’s actually big enough to see and use. I think this optic is the ticket. Fingers crossed for a GLX version of this!
Great optic
by Robb -
It’s like a red dot + magnifier in one. With both eyes open I find it to be just as quick and useful at close distances as a red dot then if you just focus the one eye you can see at distance better. It’s not great for distance though but its a great compromise. As much as I love the reticle I don’t think it’s appropriate for the use I’m describing. It’s hard to zero it at 100 yards but if you zero it at a closer distance it puts some of your holds (100yds) in the space between the chevron and semicircle. A nova like reticle with a cross hair would be perfect.
Great Prism Scope. Horrible Top Dot Mount
by Chad
This with a top dot is by far one of the best setups I have come across. It’s almost perfect. Two minor cons that one of which is completely understandable. The glass isn’t quite as clear as an ACOG, but it’s good enough for me and without upping the cost for German or Japanese glass, this is as good as it can get. The final con is the 12 o’clock mount for mini optics. It’s not a bad idea, it is just too damn flimsy. It’ll handle most anything and hold zero, as long as it doesn’t get dropped or hit too hard on anything. If that happens, the metal used is just too weak and it bends and shifts zero. Quite considerably if hit hard enough. Unfortunately, there is no other option for the 3x versions of this optic. Primary Arms, please make the top dot mount with thicker material. A few more grams of weight is well worth the trade off for durability and holding zero. If you are wanting this style configuration, get the 5x with an RMR and the Heromod mount for the top dot. It’s worth it.
Nice optic with good features.

Very nice optic!
The reticle is very versatile with the chevron top used for zero range, and the bottom for 200 yards flowing right into the BDC markings, and the upside-down horseshoe used as lead for moving targets, as well as the bullet drop compensator specifically for the 5.56.
The green lighting is crisp, and the night vision feature is an added bonus. The only drawback is the battery cover has no locking feature, so it is easily loosened when the light intensity knob is being adjusted. I like the lighted reticle versus holographic because the reticle is still visible with the light off.
This + 12 o'clock mount + red dot == ACOG killer
by Eirikr
I wanted something lightweight and compact that could do CQB and medium-distance, so naturally I was considering an 3.5x ACOG w/ piggyback mount. My biggest concern (other than the $1800 price-tag) was the weight at over 1lb. I like to keep my rifles as light as possible. After extensive research, I oped for this with the 12 o'clock mount and a Holosun 507c gr b/c I like the doughnut of death. Anyway, this combo came in around $800 (more than 50% less than ACOG setup) and at half the weight. I took it to the range this weekend and it was really great to instantly swap between close and mid shots.
Big props to Primary Arms, their products are outstanding and priced fairly with great customer service and lifetime warranty. I'll be buying more from PA in the future.
Open Box Purchase
by MLone
I bought this on an open box purchase. I am leery of buying this way because some times you are inheriting someone elses problems. It had a couple small blems on it but at the price it is what it is. Function is more important to me. I mounted it on a CMMG 16" 9mm. Took it to the range and so far it is working exactly how it should. I shot 25 and 50 yds but will try 100 next time I go out. The optic is clear and zero'd easily with a laser with only 3 rounds at each distance. I have it zero'd at 50 but will trim it down to 35 and make adjustments to each distance. PA was great to work with and shipped it to me in 3 days total travel time. PA is my go to for optics. I have had problems with holding 0 on other purchases but PA warranted them with no questions asked even with purchases on ebay. Great people!!!
Good little sight

2nd one I bought

I love this optic this is the second one that I bought. Primary arms make a great product. A buddy of mine bought this exact one after I got mine in.
Good but not perfect
by Brent -
The sight is well made and daylight bright. My only “con” is the short eye relief. When mounting the sight in front of the iron sight it is a stretch and I can’t get a full scope view.
Awesome optic
by John -
This is my third PA prism scope and second 3X version. Went with green this time versus red though I rarely use the illumination.
Super crisp reticle once adjusted for my eye. Much prefer these over red dots with my astigmatism.
Excellent mounting options included.
