This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.
Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.
Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.
This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

Duty used/tested...Love this optic!
by Emanuel -
I bought this as my first Primary Arms optic, after viewing Daddy Garand Thumb's video on it. It went on my JAKL 10.5" SBR, replacing a Vortex Crossfire/Micro 3X Magnifier combo. Loved the reduced weight and profile size from that combo. It is very similar in performance to the TA31RCO ACOG that I had issued to me in my 12 years with the Army, but with slightly less zoom, less profile size and less weight, but significantly better eye relief. I used this optic for about 1k rounds, then replaced it with a Trijicon MRO back in the fall. Alas, it's now winter, and I've got the SLX 3X back on, and sold the MRO. It's been a great tough optic, with clear glass and great reticle. I'm curious about the 5X, and may look to upgrade to one of those in the near future, and put the 3X on a 8.5" 300 Blkout...Overall, great optic, would trust my life to it!
Great 3x Prism
by Mark -
Replaced a Holosun 510 Green Dot and Magnifier.
Less weight and bulk, clearer view than with the magnifier.
Reticle much clearer as I have astigmatism.
IMO a great option for close up to mid range on my 5.56 with 50/200yd zero.

VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE. EXCELLENT & EASY SETUP. GLASS IS BETTER THAN WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE
Decent optic, but no option for lens covers
by Barrett -
Looks to be a decent optic and planning to put this on an AR57 build. However PA has informed me that there is zero options for lens covers for either the optic or optional Anti Reflective Device. As this will mainly be utilized in an arid and dusty environment, lens caps are quite important.
As for the optic itself, the glass is clear, reticle is clean, and lighting is bright. I chose this optic for several reasons. First of all it works well with an astigmatism and gives me a clean view without needing glasses. Secondly its tiny, which is critical for the AR57 platform as it uses PS90 mags. And Lastly, it can be mounted very low to the pic rail which is critical on this platform as the AR57 pic rail is quite a bit taller than the standard AR15.
Overall I'm confident it will work very will for my needs, but I am disappointed in the lack of environmental protection available for the optic.

So far it is totally awesome!

I have 300ish rounds through this little puppy and I love it. True 0.25” adjustments at 100 yards. It has postive clicks and I used a 556 case as my adjustment tool. Here is a tip (however it is super old school) put a lens cap (closed) on the front of this puppy and use it like an old school aim point OEG sight for CQB (large targets 40 yards and closer). Light weight, built like a tank. I am impressed. Eye relief is fery forgiving IMO too. One happy customer here. Almost forgot! The shake awake is SUPER handy. A+ on this sight.
Loss of illumination
by Tony -
This is the 3rd time I tried to leave a review. My order number is SO-6408402. I am a returning customer. We have 2 of the original 3x prisms and the slx raptor 1-8. ALL 3 of those optics illuminated the entire reticle but the newer version only illuminate the horse shoe and chevron. This is a miss in my opinion because I’ve needed day bright illumination for longer shots under a covered outdoor range and it took longer to acquire the target. Otherwise well done.
Great but less illumination
by Tony S -
We own 2 of the original 3X prisms. The 5.56 and 7.62x39 and a 1-8 with the raptor reticle. We love all 3 so I was excited for the updated 3x prism however the original 3x and raptor on the 1-8 have the entire reticle illuminated while the newer model is just the horseshoe and chevron. In my opinion this is a miss as I’ve needed the day bright at extended ranges and it wasn’t there slowing down the time to acquire the target. Please bring back the full reticle illumination.
Tony, it was a pleasure speaking with you and your concerns will be passed to our Optics Department. Thanks for your support!
The new standard in prism sights
by Benjamin -
A certain other aging and complacent prism scope company is on watch with this micro prism lineup. I loved the 1x but this 3x is a real sweet spot and fits perfectly on nearly any AR I have for general purpose use. I even like it better than the 2x GLx, though I wish the eye box were a little larger and a GLx version of this would be divine. Still, this is built solidly, it’s wicked light, and between BoBro and American Defense you have excellent mini acog QD mounts to choose from which I highly recommend as the only knock against this I can make is the mount it comes with. The reticle has lots of tools without being too cluttered and the clarity is astounding for the price. I can see clearly and decisively well out to 200yds and I’d be confident taking shots out to 500 which is about all I’d do with 5.56. Currently have one on a .450 bushmaster AR and it has handled the recoil beautifully and delivered sub moa groups for me at 50yds meaning hogs stand no chance.
