This Primary Arms MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics have built a reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The SLx 3x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system that combines the compact, lightweight size of a microdot with the durability and precision of a 3x magnified optic. The SLx 3x MicroPrism offers 13 illumination settings with AutoLive® motion-sensing on/off technology and multiple night vision compatibility options.
Weighing under 8oz, the SLx 3x MicroPrism is smaller and lighter than many red dot sights and features crystal-clear glass with 3x magnification for improved precision at distance. Even in close-quarters, the optic’s wide field-of-view and forgiving eye relief make it easy to snap on target.
Because the SLx 3x MicroPrism uses an etched reticle with adjustable diopter, the user will always have a clear, crisp reticle image, even if they have severe astigmatism. When set to max illumination, the MicroPrism reticle is fully daylight bright. For low-light, this optic offers 3 different NV-compatible settings, accommodating any ambient light level. Paired with the AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination technology, this optic provides an exceptionally long runtime at any brightness setting.
This package also includes the new ruggedized mounting system with industry standard mini-prism footprint, guaranteeing reliability and zero retention through heavy use and adverse conditions. Out of the box, this mount can be set for 8 different mounting heights and configurations, ensuring compatibility with any rifle system.

The ACSS® Raptor 5.56/.308-YP reticle is part of the patented ACSS Reticle series.
The Advanced Combined Sighting System (ACSS®) is a high-performance reticle solution to the challenges of modern marksmanship, distilling complex mathematics into intuitive holdovers that enhance your speed and precision. Each ACSS reticle is specially designed to outperform in real-world applications, incorporating a mix of tools to deliver instant firing solutions. These tools may include ballistic drop compensation, auto-ranging stadia, wind holds, moving target leads, or an infinitely-precise center chevron.
Optimized for the SLx MicroPrism, the ACSS-Raptor5.56/.308-YP reticle adopts the features of the beloved ACSS Raptor reticle to a prismatic optic design. The brightly illuminated outer horseshoe improves acquisition speed for close-quarters shooting, while the center chevron acts as an infinitely precise aiming point for enhanced accuracy. This reticle also includes auto-ranging ballistic holdovers for 5.56, .308, and similar cartridges in 100-yard increments with included 5-mph and 10-mph crosswind holds.

Pretty good
by Abe
It's small and light and the glass is decent. A bit of distortion on the edges but you only notice it if you're trying to. Eye relief is 2", not 2.7". I measured the eyebox by sitting behind the optic and moving it with marks on paper in front of me and got about 6.5-7mm for seeing an image and 10.5mm for seeing the reticle from black to black. The best place for this optic is on a rifle with stock mostly collapsed and mounted atop carry handle for ability to use irons. I like the green too. I'd buy another.
Great quality product at a fair price

I am really impressed with this optic. Definitely will be buying more.
Awesome Optic
by Marc -
The sight is great! I haven't shot it at long range yet. This is the reason for the 4 star review. The glass is clear. Zeroed in 5 shots at 100yards. Adjustments are easy. The illumination is great with several settings. I have a few 3power optics, but this one is the most compact. This sight also doesn't leave you stranded if the battery dies. It is a great choice. Installed on Springfield VHS 2.
Excellent carbine optic!
by A.N.
Initial impressions are phenomenal! Currently placed on a 13.7” carbine and zeroed at 100yd. Performed well at that distance, the chevron provided a nice, precise sight picture. The green horseshoe has been helpful during some close quarters drills as well, so it does seem to do well up close, as long as you’re not expecting it to be a 1x red/green dot.
The eye box does seem more forgiving than other prisms or LPVO’s I’ve run. It is still a 3x prism, but it does seem easier to pick up a clear sight picture even at close range.
I currently have it set up with just the high cantilever mount. I do like the fact that they include the extra mounting options depending on how high/low the user chooses to run it.
If you’re in the market for a 3x prism, don’t look any further. For the light and small form factor, the high glass quality, the mounting options, and at the cost, I don’t believe you can go wrong with this option!

What an amazing optic for the money
by A.L.
Just received this yesterday. The different mounting options are crazy value. The clarity is very very nice. And with my astigmatism this definitely helps a lot, if not completely. I put this on a Galil Ace Gen 2 5.56 with no riser, just straight on the mount and with a MFT stock I have a very good cheek weld. Of course mounted all the way to the back for max eye relief. Practiced shouldering the rifle with optic yesterday for a little bit and target acquisition is excellent with this set up. Magnification isn't overwhelming. It's goldilocks for up close targets as well as out to distance. If you're able to shoot with both eyes open on an ACOG then this one is totally doable.
In terms of durability I can't say because I haven't heavily fielded the rifle yet but I haven't read anything elsewhere about reliability issues which I assume they're holding up very well. But PA has the warranty so I'm not worried at all.
Now I know what the hype is about.
Pretty amazing
by Tim
Tiny, light weight, clear glass, good brightness settings, shake awake works great, no complaints. Very useable for a general purpose carbine. It's 90% of an ACOG for 1/4 the price. The reticle horseshoe is ~5x bigger than the ACSS ACOG. Brightness knob and diopter ring are stiff to turn but not too bad. Mount is good, but there's a typo in the manual: PA rep said tighten base to 30 in-lbs not 50 in-lbs, or bolt may snap. Eye relief is an inch longer than the TA31, but eye box is the same if not very slightly less. Night vision works if you can extend stock out far enough and mount it high, but a 5 mm exit pupil is not ideal for NVG use; doable as a backup but not ideal for primary use. Diopter setting for my eyes worked well with NVG without having to refocus anything. And most importantly, for both-eyes-open shooting the reticle is nicely collimated so that POA/POI difference is minimal, probably even better than on the TA31. Overall, 5/5 stars.
Better than Trijicon MRO?

A friends wife bought him one for Christmas 22. I got to look at in and liked it a lot. Looks like a red dot sight but with magnification. Great for bad eyes. With the magnification included it was half the cost of my other red dots with a magnifier behind it. Definitely will be looking at more Primary Arms products.
It's great!

Works great, looks great, other companies would charge twice as much for the same quality. Get yourself one now!
Fresh glass makes my rifle feel like new
by David -
I replaced an LPVO setup I had for years with the SLX 3x MP. It is a third of the weight and makes my 16 inch AR more manageable. Really clear glass, great reticle, and looks pretty cool. I added the anti reflective insert as well. Feels a lot like an ACOG, but a fourth of the cost. I want a 1x now for my other.
