The Primary Arms SLx MD-25 Gen 2 Microdot with ACSS CQB reticle now comes with AutoLive, improving the functionality of an already amazing red dot sight. Stretch that already insanely long battery life even further and remove that fear of picking up your rifle and the dot not being there. With this red dot sight, the moment you pick up your rifle, the dot will turn on and be ready precisely when you need it. After sitting motionless for a brief period of time, the red dot will shut off and conserve battery. Still featuring the same lightweight and durable design with a field of view that rivals larger 30mm red dots, the MD-25 Gen 2 is a no-brainer upgrade to add to your collection.
The ACSS CQB reticle features three BDC dots underneath the chevron, allowing an unprecedented 600 yards of bullet drop compensation for 7.62 NATO or 5.56 NATO calibers in a compact red dot sight. Auto ranging and wind leads are also incorporated into this smart reticle. A CQB horseshoe grabs the eye instantly for close quarters shooting and also approximates the spread pattern of 00 buckshot at 25 yards.

The Gen 2 SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. Everything about these mounts has been upgraded from materials and finish to the design in order to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.
The SLx 25mm Gen 2 red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.

Excellent Sight!!

To start, it was packaged very nice. The sight itself is of high quality, you can feel it when you hold it.
Comes with different attachments to get the cowitness where you want it.
Zeroing in was super easy. The large FOV is great and the ACSS Dot is super clean and crisp.
Overall a great sight for the money! I'm sure there are better out there, but not for this price.

Perfect little dot! Paired it with my 13.9 SOLGW M4-76 and a PA GenIV 3X magnifier. ACSS is perfect with the magnifier. Highly recommend the combo! I just ordered another as you really can’t complain about the value at this price. Auto live function is good as long as you really pick up and move your gun. Going to put the new one I ordered on my .300 blackout. As soon as the 6X magnifier is out I will move the 3X magnifier over with the .300 black and put the 6X with my SOLGW. Can’t wait to see this dot with that magnification! Worth every penny!

I really like all the features packed into this optic. The BDC & ACSS-CQB reticle is great for quick target acquisition & quick shots at distance. Really like that is has motion activated on-off. I have an astigmatism and I found the reticle to be very clear at correct brightness for me. It’s rugged and reliable & I would count on it to perform when needed. My only gripes would be the very noticeable blue tint to the optic, most of the time it doesn’t bother me but it’s very noticeable. & the big rotary knob being on the left side slightly impedes vision. If I could change anything I would slim down the rotary knob & change lens coatings. & it would easily be my favorite optic. Still an absolute go-to and great optic.

as mentioned in other reviews for some reason in this ACSS implementation the chevron is so small as to appear to be a dot and the bdc dots look like lens flare... have used some of the ACSS pistol optics and the chevron is much larger.
that said, I just treat the chevron like a dot and the horseshoe as a donut of death.
very much like the larger aperature compared to the typical 20/22mm red dots.

Matched up with the Holosun HM3X 3X Magnifier. Seriously consider purchasing the Primary Arms SLx 25mm Red Dot Anti-Reflection Device for it to protect the objective lens. Always great service from the P/A staff!

I have a gen 1 and it looks like they fixed the only issue it had not having "shake awake" so this gen 2 is really the perfect dot only thing better is going holographic which will be 3-4x the price. So I highly recommend this, I'm very happy with my purchase and I returned 2 or 3 other dots (Romeo 5, HoloSun 403) before settling on this and I probably won't be buying any other brand of optic unless money becomes no object. I really love this dot, Primary Arwms is the business! ACSS > 2 MOA Dot

Primary Arms Customer Service is awesome. Within 10 minutes of posting my previous review, PA Customer Service reached out to me by a phone call about my order. Apparently my order for this Optical was supposed to be free shipping, which I wasn’t aware of. So they offered a credit back, I took a store credit, because I plan on buying more STUFF! Plus sending me the lens cover for this PRIMARY ARMS SLX MD-25 Optical.
The phone call caught me off guard, but AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! Most definitely buying again and recommending to my friends.

Got this or my AR-15 project that is just about done. Very nice quality, but as said in another review by someone else, the chevron is a little small. The specifications should list in BOLD that a lens cover is NOT INCLUDED! Now I need to buy it and pay for shipping again grrrr! Wish it would have said something so I would have know to buy it then.

Not sure what is different from the gen 1 model, but I solely bought it for the autolive feature. More than impressed.
Pros
-Clear glass
-Autolive
-Reticle is CLEAN. I have an astigmatism, very rarely the horseshoe will slightly rainbow if my eyes are dry, but for the most part it is picture perfect. No flaring, smudging, or starbursting for me. Reticle is the perfect size. Might need a magnifier for perfect chevron image.
-25 mm lens
-Feels sturdy
Cons
-Rotary knob is big, but I do not notice it when shooting so I can't knock off a star.
-Lens covers not included. Was not mentioned on the page and I wish I would have bought them with the optic so I didn't have to dish out shipping again.
-Negligible blue tint in certain lighting. My brain doesn't register it when shooting.
Best optic in this price range hands down.
