Bring your AK-47 into the 21st century with the RS Regulate AKR optic mount. One of the most common complaints of the AK pattern is the lack of picatinny rail for mounting red dot sights, rifle scopes, and other optics. This 2nd generation AKR upper 1913 picatinny rail attaches via set screws to the AK-300 series of lower side mounts. It provides a solid set up with optional roll pin staking to prevent your sighting system from losing zero under recoil or impact. It is extremely modular as it allows you to place your optic over bore with front-to-back positioning to customize it to your eye position. Great construction but sits canted and can’t correct without modification

I installed this with the lower full mount ak303. I zeroed the scope, a Leupold vx2 3-9x40 with Burris xtreme rings. I had only 4 X 1/4 MOA left to the left for windage at 100 yards. 4 clicks.
I found this odd,This meant the scope was not aligned correctly. I dismounted the scope with rings. Threw a line with a weight from the front sight all the way to the end of the riffle. The front of the mount was aligned with the sights. Front and back sights were perfectly aligned with the line. I was shooting 2inch MOA with iron sights. The observation is that The mount sits canted with the end towards the right and the front towards the left. Since the tolerances are so tight, you can’t move the mount and align it properly with a line.
The canting allows you to zero at 100yards.Anything past 200 would be an issue since you will run out of windage adjustments.i have a Vepr 308 that can shoot up to 500 or more.im going to have to file the top mount to allow for movement And straighten it.

The RS AKR is the upper part of the RS mounting system for AK side rails. You will need this when mounting a longer tubular type scope. I own 4 of these & used them to mount Leatherwood Hi-Lux CMG 7.62 & Primary Arms 1x6 ACSS scopes. The AKR allows perfect scope height & eye relief. It is rock solid & allows perfect over bore position of your optic. The system is rather pricey, but worth it because it is absolutely the best system for your AK variant rifle

RS Regulate products are worth the money. Sometimes it is good to buy ounce and cry ounce. I would like to see Primary Arms recommend mounting options for their optics. Even if people want different things it is still a good idea to know what fits and works and what does not.

Quality, light weight and attractive looking. The only down side is the mount sits low, almost too low, since I must remove the mount to pop off the cover plate on my Saiga 7.62x39.

Ive been using RS Products mount for a year now. I started with the aimpoint micro mount and loved it. I had a trijicon ta26sg that I had wanted to use and was able to quickly mount on the same side rail by getting the AKR. This is what I have been wanting for the AK for a long time. It is ultra light, thin and holds zero after tumbling down the side of a rock hill. ( this happened) I couldnt be happier. As always doing business with Primary Arms was perfect from purchase to delivery.
