Was kind of iffy on it at first
by John -
So after reading some reviews on this adapter, I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to give it a whirl anyways. I’m really happy I did because for the price point it’s a very solid product. I have it fitted onto my PSA AK101 and I have a Vltor armor stock with it. The only thing I can say on the other hand is that the set screw that sits under the recoil spring was causing the spring and bolt not to go back into battery after being racked back. I could tell the screw was sitting just a little too high but after 3 minutes with a hand file it worked like a charm. Highly recommend this product if you’re wanting to put an AR stock on your kalash.
Great, but not perfect

As stated by another, some fitting maybe required to get the recoil spring assembly back into battery. I ground down the top of internal adapter screw and everything fit properly. There are some "floating" tolerances to address. I installed some washers on top of the adapter to push it down flush to the bottom of the receiver to close the gap, which fixed the sharp edges next to the hand grip. Because of the adapter design, you're adding another 2.5 / 3 inches of pull to the stock length. With a traditional M4 stock, completely shut, the length of pull is already at 9 to 9.5 inches. An M16-A2 fixed stock is about 10 inches and some change, for comparison. If you’re wanting some more adjustable options (shorter vs. longer), I suggest looking around a bit more. Overall, for the cost, ease of installation, and a few features built-in (QD, buffer lock screw, solid build), you really can’t beat it.
Solid part, fit needs improvement

It's a nice part no doubt, but the fit leaves a lot to be desired. Doesn't close up tight to receiver. The interior bolt is too long and recoil spring assembly doesn't seat properly without filing down bolt head. Also leaves buffer tube slightly out of plumb.
Perfect

Fits as it should and definitely gives you all kinds of options for stocks. Strike industries always pleases.
Good but not great

Required some fitting to make work correctly. Would probably go another route if I had known this ahead of time.

Was excited to make use of some old parts from my AR collection, unfortunately this was a waste of money. I have many Strike Industries products and they are great, this one missed the boat.
Fights tight
by Kurt -
The adjustable spacers make the adapter fit in nice and tight, but once it all was together, my carrier spring wasn't sitting properly inside the receiver. The screw was too wide and I had to use an angle grinder to grind down the edges of the screw, this let it sit deep enough that my carrier spring can ride on top of said screw. I experienced this on my Riley Defense RAK-47, hope it helps. Still love the product though!
Impressive

This adapter is exactly what I was looking for. It is well machined and is heavier than expected. Fits all of mine but not the Vepr. The tension system on it is not well done but it works. Works well for QD mounts. The set screw to keep the tube from spinning is way to small to trust. Used thread locker and a castle nut. Best adapter I have ever found.
AK to AR stock adapter

It installed easy enough in a wasr but the mounting screws wouldn’t seat deep enough in the rear trunion. This kept the recoil spring assembly from fitting in its groove not allowing the dust cover to be installed. Rather than modify my rear trunion I’ll just buy the Arsenal polymer fixed stock from AK Builder.
