This L-shaped extended forward assist is made of lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum with a textured surface for easy manipulation. The forward assist pawl features tool steel construction for positive engagement of the forward assist ratchets. It has a low-profile, no-snag design that's available in anodized black, red, blue, or FDE. This forward assist is the perfect size. It's got more area than the late style round assist,but not as big as the first teardrop style....and yes,I never need to use it,but it looks cooler 😎
