The Strike Industries Checkmate Comp is a top quality muzzle device designed with a series of four offset serrated prongs which stabilize muzzle climb and mitigate flash and recoil.
The top port set to the right, benefiting right hand shooters by offsetting muzzle climb. The aggressive front helps ensure that no one gets too close.

Checkmate Comp

The Checkmate comp is a thing of beauty. It works as advertised helping with muzzle rise. Definitely not an indoor shooting comp; it's loud and a bit of a flamethrower. It also doubles as a tool/ weapon- window breaker, sharp cutting edges will work just fine as a weapon itself while reloading or out. Fast shipping and great service from PA as usual.

I dig this. It’s compact, functions properly, and looks awesome. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, is because you can’t use an armorers wrench to install. The wrench cut is bigger than a standard AR muzzle device.

Bought this device for a 14.5" LW build. Good looks no noticeable machine marks. Recoil is nearly eliminated and muzzle rise well controlled I was actually surprised how well it worked as a small single chamber. Shot at dusk couple different powders there's definitely some flash in the ports but not as bad as some others.
