Details

The Strike Industries Gridlok complete handguard features a new innovative modular and quick detach design further improving the versatility of the AR platform. The main body of the Gridlok system is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and black hardcoat anodized and this model is 8.5” long making it perfect for pistol builds. It features a slim streamlined profile with a 1.6” internal diameter large enough for most blast diffusers, muzzle brakes, and suppressors. The rear rail segment features a quick detach system that attaches to the proprietary 7250 aluminum barrel nut. The front rail segment features an integrated front sight that folds down out of the way. The handguard body uses the Strike Industries RailLok system for attaching picatinny rails and other accessories and is compatible with M-LOK accessories as well. The Strike Industries Gridlok AR-15 Handguard offers even more customization of your favorite rifle.

I LOVE this handguard!!!

I LOVE this handguard! I think it is the best looking handguard I have ever seen. I have been a Strike Industries fan since they started and they always keep innovating and pushing practical and aesthetic design forward. The quality couldn't be higher. Fit and finish are beautiful! It was easy to install. I love the quick disconnect lever, locks securely in place but easy to use when needed. It is also quite lightweight as well as being low-profile without looking boring. Nearly every corner is rounded or angled which prevents snagging on equipment or clothing. I used this for my recent 10.5" barreled lightweight AR-15 pistol and I am so pleased I made that decision. For form, fit, function and quality, you can't beat Strike Industries! Five Stars and absolutely recommend!

After a few years

Run this guard on 300 blackout CQB build. Have had ~2500 rounds through two ar’s with the gridlock on. Durability is good and beefy as I have dit the dirt and banged on barricades. Ergonomics to the hand are 10/10 and prefer over all my other rails. The access to the barrel and gas block with the quick detach is great and tension has stayed. The flip up sight is a bit wanting yet does the job; run it folded down 99% of the time but would easily become something that snags up in tight situations or pulling from a vehicle/bag. The partial rail on the bottom is just enough for a light or hand stop, you can’t put much else with any common length. The quick detach takes up a portion of the bottom rail where a vertical grip would be placed well. The shape of the rail makes up for clamping the rail in the hand very well.

I now run a higher quality suppressed build and don’t want any other rail on it.
