Terrible

First I want to say primary arms is awesome and this review is not against them at all. I purchased this because I shoot lefty and wanted a safety I could use better with my left hand. The safety works well, but it scratched a circular area out of the finish on my lower. I don’t really keep my guns in show condition or anything, but It is still annoying to have the finish gone in that area. In all, if you have a beat up gun or do care to much, go for it but other wise I would stay clear.

Scratched my receiver

by -

I am a lefty and bought this safety to make life easier when switching between safe and fire. I installed it no problem and I works really good, but what I didn’t realize at first was that I was rubbing up against my receiver and by the time I realized it, the finish was scratched away from where it was touching. I don’t really care too much about how my stuff looks as long as it functions, but It would be nice to not the all the finish scratched away.

Strike's Hex 60/90 Safety Selector

by -

I tried this setup on a forged lower with a 20" Grendel barrel and it had about 1/16" spacing on either side so I tried fitting it on my 16" Grendel with a bullet lower and it fit perfectly. I really like the 60/90 option with either standard or ambi setup. I am a lefty so all my platforms get ambi products added to them and I will be looking into buying more of these for my other Bullet lowers. Fit and functions perfectly with a nice flat finish. I would recommend this product for any entry or mid level shooter that is looking for a good cheap upgrade.

Nice positive feedback

Received this in the Enhanced LPK. Installed easily. Came with ambi selectors or a one sided selector with an indicator on the other side. Smooth to move between safe and fire with a nice positive feedback and retention on each position.

Smooth as butter

by -

Wife got this for me as an early Christmas gift. I love it. There are no "sharp corners" as some of the negative reviews state. Maybe their hands are soft and sensitive, who knows? Also the selector goes from safe to fire and back again smooth as butter with that positive "click" feedback knowing you are either in "safe" or "fire" it honestly functions smoother than two of my seekins precision ambi safety's that I have on other AR's. Maybe the negative reviews got a bad batch or something. But I've never had a bad experience with Strike Industries. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your money!

This product is total garbage. It will not rotate without excessive force no matter what I try. I've used multiple different detents and springs (even cut down springs) with no success. After months I finally ordered a different safety selector on ebay and it works perfectly. This was is now in the trash where it belongs.

Horrible machining and does not work!

by

This may have been great before but now it is worthless. The machining for the pin is so poor It will not rotate. Never got it to work in two different powers with different detent pins. I could ask for a replacement but would probably get the same thing. This came in lower kit and is supposed to be the enhanced kit. I think the safety needs a little more enhancement to just work

Useless

This selector is so tight it can only be moved by pushing the selector on both sides at the same time and it’s still extremely hard to move. Typically they can be tight when first installed but loosen up over time but this one is useless it’s so hard to turn. Tried it in 2 different lowers with different detents and same results on both. Even started to chew up the detents.

It works, but a few issues...

by -

So I saw the other reviews saying the machining was fantastic and that was NOT what I received. The first time I installed it, I noticed all of the ridges on the safeties were ridiculously sharp. Gently knocked those down, and tried to break the safety in. The grooves/detent slots were blued, but it almost took a mallet to switch from safe to fire. I had to bust out a file and a polishing wheel to get resistance usable by removing burrs. Its an ambi safety, it works. I had some issues, but I seem to be the outlier, and it was easy enough to fix.

Don't know what you want? Buy this one!

I purchased this safety selector for my first AR-15 build. Being unsure of whether I wanted a 90 or 60 degree throw, this caught my eye. After using it, I prefer the 90 degree throw. Fit and finish were excellent. The switches have very aggressive texturing. These safety selectors will be installed on all my future builds. I'm 100% satisfied.
