The Strike Industries Venom flash hider combines an aggressive and eye catching four-prong design with top-level flash suppressing performance to create one of the best flash hiders on the market. Capable of reducing muzzle flash by nearly 100%, the unique design quickly and efficiently disperses the burning gasses exploding from the barrel. Each of the four prongs ends with teeth that help to bring the over-all length of a 14.5" barrel to the minimum 16" requirements. It is recommended to torque the muzzle device to 15-20 ft-lbs to properly attach it to your barrel.

Features:
  • Effective four prong design almost entirely negates muzzle flash
  • Aggressive, eye catching design
  • Pre-drilled for permanent attachment to 14.5" barrels to meet 16" minimum
  • Weighs: 3 oz

Effective, good looking, good value

I had one of these pinned and welded to a ballistic advantage mil spec middy along with the gas block. The gunsmith was pleased with how it turned out and so am I. It’s light, looks great and hides the flash very effectively.

I notice no residual ringing after being fired like I have read on another review of this muzzle device; so I can only assume they had incorrectly attributed this sound to the muzzle (they are probably hearing the ring of the buffer + spring which is common with an AR15).

If you are thinking of getting one and find it on sale for less don’t hesitate, you’ll be happy.

Buy it. With your money.

I knew going in that this flash hider would have a ringing sound and after shooting with it a fair bit I have to say; WHO CARES. As a flash hider it works great. It looks great. And it is affordable.

Outstanding flash hider

This flash hider works. Zero flash on a dimly lit indoor range. It is also the most badass looking flash hider I have ever seen. It does ring when you tap it with a hard object, but I can’t hear it ring when shooting because I’m wearing ear pro, so I don’t care. It also has about the same diameter as an A2 birdcage, so it doesn’t look or feel bulky on a pencil bbl. A great performer for the money.

Tuning fork for your barrel

Bought this mostly so I could get my AR pistol build shooting before I finally settled on and bought a mount for the suppressor that would eventually find its home on that gun. However, after about a few hundred rounds through it, I can't stand it anymore. Flash mitigation is definitely acceptable, but the ping this causes is the worst I've heard. After every shot, the flash hider sounds like a tuning fork. At first I thought maybe it had been made worse because of the extra blast produced by a shorter barrel, so I threw it on one of my 16" AR's and the sound was exactly the same. Would MUCH prefer to just have a traditional birdcage on the end of my rifle.

It was nice to speak to you on this issue. Please let us know if there is anything else we may help you with.

Great flash hider from Strike!

Loved the look, love the performance! Installed this on a unsuppressed 16" Recce build. Knowing that I wasn't going to suppress this rifle, I wanted a good performing/looking 3 or 4 prong device without breaking the bank. It does have harmonic ring/ping, but I knew that going in, and honestly, I don't understand the complaints...ringing while shooting, shots will be louder, ring/ping while chambering a round, the bolt slamming forward will be louder, etc...Again, in my case, I put this on a Recce build, if I was worried about the ring/ping on a CQB gun, I wouldn't run this flash hider, but all of my short barrel/CQB guns are suppressed, so again, I don't get the complaint of ring/ping. Overall, good budget device, looks great, performs great, and if you like a ring/ping, then it sounds cool and unique as well...
