This is my second troy rear flip up sight. First sight was set up with a drop of lock tight, after a year of constant use and a couple thousand rounds. It had held its zero perfectly! Which is why I went with a second troy. When you first receive the sight its a little rough, the more you open and close the sight the smoother it becomes. Locks up tight and the push button for closure is low profile yet very easy to activate. What most don't tell you about this sight is when its locked up and open there IS a tiny bit of play before it hits its locking mechanism. I'm absolutely sure that's normal, in case you drop your rifle or something directly onto the sight itself. And lastly Primary Arms is probably the best source for your firearm needs! For sure quickest shipping I've ever experienced!!
Excellent sights, excellent service!

These sights are great! This is my second set of Troy Di-Optic sights and even though Troy changed the mounting style somewhat, these sights still mount very solidly with no issues on any of my uppers or front rails. My first set of sights have been on my AR for over 2 years now and they've held a zero even after my AR has been banged around through numerous training classes. These new sights are replacing my plastic MBUS since I'm now running my other HR pretty hard, just don't want to deal with plastic sights anymore. I'll leave the MBUS for my other ARs that are not run as hard.As far as service through Primary Arms, every time I've ordered from Primary Arms, my orders are shipped very quickly and I'm kept in the loop with the status via email. Delivery is very quick and their support staff is excellent when it comes to answering questions about their products.Because of all of this, I'll continue to be a Primary Arms customer as they haven't done me wrong yet.

These sights are crap!

The peep holes are made with a thinner material around the holes compared to the "Diamondhead" sights. This makes it harder to line up your front sight. When you flip up the 300 yard peep sight you go from bad to worse! I couldn't even use it, it was so bad! I switched to the Diamondhead sights and have been happier for it!

My carbine instructor urged me to replace my "plastic" rear backup sight. Glad I chose Troy. Solid built and Di-Optic aperture very easy and quick to acquire. My weapon doesn't sit in a locker at home. It gets used and abused. Glad I have a metal "iron" sight backing me up.
