nice upper as long as you have the right rail

First, this is a quality upper in terms of machining. Having said that, one must understand it's limitations by considering the following caveats. This one, as with some other billet uppers, is somewhat "thicker" than standard mil spec uppers. This added girth affords a unique look but does limit its compatibility with some free float tubes. Some tubes will not mate up with this upper due to the location of their anti rotation tabs near the top of the rail. The tabs simply will not clear the receiver and slide over the receiver's O.D. to allow for solid mating. Some rails, work fine, but be aware if your preferred rail uses the common anti rotational tab design.

Nice upper receiver

This receiver has lines that go well with the yhm 125 billet lower and yhm 5155 handguard (both carried by PA if I'm not mistaken). Must have if you want a yhm model 57 type rifle. You can trust primary arms will ship swiftly. I will do business with them again soon.
Great stripped upper

The price was great on the YHM billet stripped upper, worked out great. Only complaint I have is the first stripped upper I received was a basic key mod forged upper, called and got talked with customer service and got it straightened out.
Solid

Seems of solid construction and I like that the cutouts save on weight. Be aware that there is a cutout for the bolt release that will not fit the Seekins bolt release, and probably only the standard bolt release. Found this out the hard way. Also like any billet upper, it won't fit into a standard Wheeler upper vice clamp block, my preferred method for securing the barrel nut. I just wrapped the upper in cloth, put it in the Wheeler upper vice clamp block, and it did the trick. Although I felt I should have bought the DPMS upper receiver action block that holds the upper from within, I didn't want to spend another $45 bucks on it. It worked out in the end, but it felt a bit sketch.

Purchased this to mate with billet lower. Nice clean lines. Whole build stands out from the rest of your typical AR's. The design just flows.
