The Expo Arms H2 Carbine Buffer is an easy and inexpensive upgrade for your AR-15. Whether your rifle is over gassed or you're simply looking to reduce felt recoil, a 4.6 oz heavy buffer can be a significant improvement over the standard AR-15 carbine buffer. These buffers feature a machined aluminum body with a durable black hardcoat anodized finish and flat dark earth rubber bumper to dampen recoil.

This 3.25" buffer is compatible with AR-15 MIL-SPEC and Commercial spec receiver extensions or 8" GI-spec AR-10/AR-308 receiver extensions.

Great service

Used this to replace my 3oz. buffer in my sig m-400. Functions flawlessly with reduced recoil and back on running coyotes faster. Shipping only took 2 days. Outstanding job PA 2 thumbs way up!

Works perfectly fine compared to other high dollar brands.

From not functioning to 100 percent function

This was just the fix I needed to get my echo trigger and new build running properly in my 7.5 ar pistol in 556. No more failure to feed or fire. The pistol went from not function what so ever to 100 percent function thanks to this buffer! So highly recommend for certain builds if you need this weighted buffer.

Not marked with H2

These are not stamped or marked in any way to identify them from standard weight buffers. Very disappointed in this. Color coding the bumper is meaningless, the face needs to be stamped to quickly identify it as an H/H2/H3 etc buffer without having to pull it out and weight it every time. I swap out buffers often. All other H/H2/H3 buffers have marks, why did they skip out on these?

Love it!

Replaced 3oz buffer with this one in my 7.5 pistol build. Runs better & such a great price I got one for my buddy too! Highly recommend . Thanks P A!

MUST HAVE FOR (PISTON OPERATED UPPERS) due to higher "velocities"..
<br>Such as "Adams Arms" piston kits, etc. Prevents "LIGHT PRIMER STRIKES".
<br>Weighed compared to factory upper buffer...
<br>FACTORY....... 3.25OZ
<br>EXPO H2........ 4.50OZ

Nice Quality, Wish They Would Be Stamped, Works Great

Works good for my 10.5 upper

I ordered this and the discounted buffer spring. Both arrived carefully packaged and in perfect condition. Fast shipping and the best prices.

Great buffer at a reasonable cost.

Works great! Tamed the recoil impulse down on my overgassed pistol. Took a marker and wrote H2 on the side and etched H on top.

It's an H2 Buffer

Run this in a 5.56 middy AR and it smoothes out recoil (as if there was much). No issues with low power Wolf steel ammo either. Front face is not stamped with an "H2". I don't switch out buffers, therefore the color code system used by Expo Arms is a non-issue for me.

It works as intended

Great H2 weight buffer, stamped mine H2...

The color coding of the bumper doesn't work for me so I took a small number stamp set I have & lightly stamped a number "2" into the face of the buffer to more easily ID it as an H2. Looks to be comparable to other manufacture's offerings costing twice as much. Wish I had picked up a few more while they were on sale.

Recommended upgrade for Carbine length Gas AR's

by -

I recently got a Carbine length gas AR and it has a significant feeling of jarring when shooting, so I tried this H2 buffer, and the quality is excellent, works great, reduced felt "jolt" in the recoil, functions just fine, brass ejects about 2:30 to 3:30 now depending on the load.

Great buffer

I've got 3 of these buffers in 3 different rifles, all short barrel rifles in .223, 7.62x39, and 6.5 Grendel. In all 3 rifles, the H2 buffer helped reduce felt recoil and improve reliability, especially in the 8" 7.62. No, the face isn't marked (which is obvious if you actually look at the picture of what you're buying), but this can be easily remedied if desired. The weights do rattle around inside the buffer, but this is fixable too. Remove the bumper, take out the weights, and put a little grease in the bottom of the buffer (I use SuperLube with PTFE). Put the weights back in and put another dab on top of the weights, between them and the bumper. This will prevent the weights from rattling around, and does not add enough mass to make a difference. I've been doing this to buffers for decades without issue.

Perfect weight

I am always on a budget so I buy the least expensive parts usually. I order Expo parts because of that. For the price the quality is outstanding. I see no difference in this part compared to a big name part that costs 2-3 times what this costs. It weighs 4.6oz which is perfect for an H2. It is not marked but why care? I just got a marker and wrote H2 on it and saved a lot of money. Bottom line it functions perfect. It has smoothed out the action on my AR a great deal. I have no problem purchasing Expo arms parts and recommend them to anyone who is like me on a budget.
