Pretty happy

If you want a clean low priced light weight upper it's pretty tight . I do need to check it all out and that may change my mind but overall happy at the moment .

Very good value

Still no reviews on this upper so I’ll leave one. Bought this upper on sale a few months ago to use for range plinking. I will say It is excellent value. Only fired about 150 rounds of m193 testing it out but no malfunctions and surprisingly accurate. The features are definitely worth $199 - 4150 lightweight profile barrel, 1/8 twist, full length mlok rail, quality upper receiver (no forward assist though), proper gas port size and pinned gas block. Don’t know how it’ll last long term but It is really a no brainer at $199. I highly recommend

Excellent upper

I have built several AR-15 rifles using uppers from different manufacturers. I have two using the Foxtrot Mike upper. The Foxtrot Mike upper is among the best I have ever used. I am going to buy additional uppers for backups.

From a visual observation because it isn't installed or fired overall appearance is Great with a slim handguard and black color. Only surprise was seeing that there wasn't a forward assist which is something new to me. Got the complete upper on SALE and loved the price.

Unique upper

This upper has a few cool and unique features that make it stand out from my others: billet slick side upper, lightweight barrel, tab on top of the handguard that indexes with the receiver to prevent it from rotating, the gas block appears to be double pinned, the muzzle device is a 2-port comp with ports at 10 and 2. Fit is VERY snug with Aero, BCM, and Anderson lowers.

Love it

Very solid upper

My first fm product and I gotta say it’s super nice the fit and finish is flawless barrel extension and feed ramp is slick as glass no machine makes on anything and the pinned gas block is a nice extra it’s all billet making it really light weight I’m really happy with it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy anything made by foxtrot mike it’s high quality stuff

Could use some improvement.

Upper looks good. For the sale price it is OK. The M-Lock slots on handguard are a bit undersized so it takes fitting and extra effort to mount M-Lock accessories. I really don't like the muzzle brake and will be replacing it ASAP. The brake's design makes it difficult to clean with a pull through cleaning mop. Important thing for me is that this upper is light and worked out for my lightweight build which totaled 6 1/2 pounds. Quality of upper could be better but worth the $219 sale price. Would I order one of these again, probably not.

Very picky about magazines

by

Update - In my opinion, this upper has a design flaw, specifically with the upper receiver itself. I tested this with many different lower receivers from, at least, 4 different manufacturers. I also tested many different mag catch designs from 5 different makers. Putting on a different upper resolved problem in all tests. The following defect existed in all tests. The upper is very picky about many magazines and it seems obvious it was only tested with PMags or similar when designed. Plastic magazines all seem to fit and function well. Metal GI style magazines, 20 or 30 round, will not go in far enough for the mag catch to engage. I've tested Colt, Okay, Surefire, Fusil and other common metal magazines. None will snap into place on any lower with any mag catch when the Foxtrot Mike's upper is used. With any other upper on lowers tested the problem is eliminated. Being aware of this problem now, I likely will not order any more Foxtrot Mike products.
