Details

The Barrel Extension Vise is an all-in-one, compact vise block for the AR-15/M4. Takes the worry out of applying torque to your upper when installing and removing barrel nuts and muzzle devices by engaging the barrel extension with solid steel lugs and a full-length support shank to prevent flexing. This prevents torque from being transferred to the softer aluminum receiver.

Mounts securely in a vise and provides support for both billet and forged upper receivers. Steel hardness is optimized for durability yet won't damage barrel extension, and Magpul Polymer is used for all other engagement surfaces to protect the aluminum receiver. An O-ring post uses the bolt carrier for additional stability and an included pin keeps the upper receiver in proper position. The BEV may also be turned over and used as a mag well vise block to support the lower receiver during maintenance, etc.

MAGPUL BEV Block

I recently bought one of the BEV blocks and I love it. It does exactly what MAGPUL says it will do. Using the BEV block with the bolt carrier inserted into position it holds the upper in a rock solid position. It is also better that it locks into the lugs on the barrel extension and takes the stress off of the receiver itself. My next purchase will be the MAGPUL Armorer's Wrench.

I used this to remove hold my rifle in place while I removed the flash hider and hand guard. Worked very well and held my rifle tightly so I could focus on the task at hand. Primary Arms sets the standard for quick processing time and shipping in this business.

Fantastic Tool

First order from PA and very pleased. It arrived quickly with no hiccups. I bought this so that I could install a FF handguard on my Ruger AR 556 that would require a new barrel nut. The block worked just as advertised and is very solid. I really liked the fact that you can work on uppers and lowers with just this one block, and it works better! Very well thought out design. If you want to work on your AR, this is the tool to have.

Good solid tool. It works as advertised. Much better than a clamshell. Worked fine in the Faxon barrels I used it on.

It is a tiny bit wobbly but the wobbliness is not in the direction you torque.

It is like a budget Giessele rod but works just as good. Also just flip it over and you have a support for the lower receiver. Good product. Glad I bought it.

Good but hate how it doesnt lock onto a lower magwell like my other block and hate that it has to use a BCG.

Magpul does it again

I never met a Magpul product I didn’t like. This is the latest gem. The BEV block more than adequately serves the purpose of two tools for a fraction of the cost. It works just fine for locking down a 6.5 Grendel upper that I am building. This is a very thoughtfully designed instrument.
