The Primary Arms 1-6x24 second focal plane scope (Gen III) features the exclusive, patented Advanced Combined Sighting System reticle. Bullet drop compensation, wind holds, moving target leads and range estimation are seamlessly integrated into an easy to use, instinctive sighting system that is very fast from 0-300 yards and very accurate from 300-800 yards. The second focal plane design keeps the reticle the same size at all magnifications for quick acquisition at low power and advanced reticle functionality at 6x maximum power. This Scope is protected by the Primary Arms Lifetime Warranty. If a defect due to materials or workmanship, or even normal wear and tear, has caused your product to malfunction, Primary Arms will either repair or replace your product.

The flagship Gen II 1-6x24 is a tough act to follow, so Primary Arms worked hard to make incremental but real improvements. The Gen III is 18mm shorter (10.04in long), weighs 1.88 ounces less (16.9 oz. total), and has an additional 10 MOA of internal adjustment compared to the older model. The ACSS® reticle has also been improved, now featuring a chevron center aiming point rather than a dot.
Partial red reticle illumination is provided by a single (included) CR2032 battery, and a spare battery is included inside the windage turret cap. A total of 11 settings take the reticle all the way up to daylight bright. All lenses are fully multicoated for maximum light transmission and the 6063 aluminum body is Type II hard anodized in matte black.

Works Great!
by Jacob -
Put this on my 308 AR build and using the BDC and wind holds they were spot on to 800 yards. Had wind speeds of 3-5mph and was able to hit 10" steel plate at 845 yard. Started at 100 yrds and walked it out using only the reticle marks. It outperformed my expectations!
Very pleased

Very pleased with this optic. Eye relief is great and glass is crystal clear. Has held 0 for the last 2 trips to range. Overall weight is manageable on my rifle.

Havent field tested yet. Out of box review is very nice reticle. Will field test soon. Glass is very clear for price value and has decent flip caps. Wish it had the zoom lever but hoping to add that if possible.
Decent Entry Level Optic

I have owned this for 6 years and this was my first LPVO. I wasn't a super serious shooter, but I haven't been gentle with it. I have used it for at least 2k rounds, it has been beaten around and has been out in conditions from the dead of winter to the heat of summer. It has worked for what I put it through.
Pros:
-BDC reticle makes hits to 300yds relatively easy
-Lightweight for LPVO
Neutral:
-For the BDC you must understand the impact of your barrel length and ammunition choice and how that lines up with the BDC, especially at further distances.
Cons:
-Illumination is mediocre at best, battery has the life of a mayfly. I only use illumination for limited occasions.
-1x image is not very flat, there is noticeable fisheyeing, but it is useable
I do plan on upgrading to a higher-quality optic when I am able to, but I do plan to continue to use it and keep it around.

Another lovely LPVO made by Primary Arms. I am in love with their prisms, red dots, and now their LPVOs too. This is the 3rd magnified optic (not including prisms) I've purchased. This is excellent for use on 308 and 5.56. Easy to zero, holds zero, and the etched reticle make it useful even if the battery is out.
Primary Arms SLx 1-6x24 SFP Rifle Scope Gen III - Illuminated ACSS Reticle - 5.56 / 5.45 / .308

I am completely new to the AR-15 platform, and I just bought my first. I researched extensively between the Vortex Strike Eagle and the Primary Arms SLx 1-6x24 SFP Rifle Scope. Of course these two scopes were in the price range I was interested in spending at the time. Both scopes had high attributes and specs as well as functionality, not to mention, the reviews. I found it to be a very tough decision but, ultimately, I ended up purchasing the Primary Arms scope, and for less money. I am not, in the lease regretful I did so! Both scopes are top notch for their class and price point. However, in comparing the two, I found the optics on the Strike Eagles to possibly surpass the Primary Arms scope. It's so close, it's hard to tell with my eye. The illuminated reticle on the Vortex seems to be much darker than the Primary Arms scope, which is quite bright... not the brightest, but close. Primary Arms scope is my choice for my purposes. Second to none!
Can’t beat primary arms!!

Awesome reticle good product for the price way better compare to other brand names/high end scopes that’s just my opinion awesome glass/illumination
Wonderful Scope

I like everything about this scope, it has very clear glass and the red reticle is daylight-bright without blooming. The ACSS Reticle is all that it's claimed to be. I'm buying a higher-power PA model for my new 6.5 Grendel build.
Perhaps a lemon.

When I focus the reticle the view thru the scope is out of focus. When I make the view thru the scope in focus the reticle is very out of focus. Parallax is about 2 MOA. This particular scope is not usable. Returned for replacement/repair or upgrade to GLx.
Note: It was good to speak with you on this and that we got you taken care of. Please let us know if there is anything else we may help you with.
Great first scope

The scope is clear and distinct, and feels durable for its price. All of the adjustments are easy to use, the reticle illumination is great and can be turned on by spinning the knob either direction.I was afraid the center chevron inside of the horseshoe would be hard to pick up but that is not the case. The scope was fairly accurate out of the box, it was packaged securely and ultimately a reassuring purchase once all was said and done. I’ve only put enough rounds to zero it but I’ll probably get another down the road.
