Failure to extract

This is a follow up review. Primary arms was great as always but this upper was very poor. A good upper should be able to shoot anything that goes in it in my opinion. My Daniel Defense does this without issue. I was given a lot of steel case ammo for free (I usually never use it)and again my dd ran all of it with multiple different bcgs just fine no matter how much or how fast i shot. This upper however does not. After about 40-60 rounds though it, it will fail to extract a spent steel case from the chamber and i have to put a rod down the barrel to pound out the spent casing. It runs brass case fine for the most part. If it can't shoot all kinds of ammo without hiccups though then it does not deserve more than one star in my book. Again, I am very disappointed and expected much better quality from spikes. Furthermore the upper/lower fit is terrible. It is paired with a spikes lower and the fit was awful. I am very very disappointed in this upper.
Hate to be the odd man out

Received my upper today. As always primary arms was very quick and they deserve 5 stars. I hate to give less than 5 stars as I use quite a bit of spikes products and this is getting paired with a spikes lower. The Bolt carrier group is my biggest issue. The firing pin retaining pin only comes out only with needle nose pliers and has to be punched back in. You cannot put it back together without tools. Luckily I have a spikes nickel boron bolt laying around that will be going in the upper so that is not much of an issue. The upper had a few little dings on the anodizing near the charging handle port (which is a little disappointing) and the entire inside of the upper has some sort of grey coating (could be normal just nothing I have seen on other uppers I have used). Overall I was a bit underwhelmed but I am sure it will shoot fine.

Love this upper! Primary Arms had it to me in 4 days and their customer service was great! Shot 200 rounds of various ammo from steel .223 to M855 with no issues at all. Would definitely buy another Spikes product and more importantly Primary Arms is my new go to on line shop!
