Works so far.
by Manuel G -
The spikes tactical phosphate BCG works good so far, it’s a mil spec BCG so it’s chrome lined like it’s supposed to be. Carpenter 158 bolt, which is know to be the best. The phosphate finish is very heavy, meaning it’s hard to wipe down with paper towels, it will rip up the paper towels so I have to clean it with microfiber cloths that don’t leave lint. It’s a weird complaint but I can wipe my other nitride BCGs down easy, this one takes more work due to the finish.

Spikes does not disappoint!

I Needed a BCG for my 9mm AR. I had tried several other BCG but didn't get the results I wanted. I ordered a Spikes BCG and my AR hasn't looked back!
Would purchase again.

This is the best bang for your buck. Worth every penny and not a single hiccup
9310 Bolt FYI
by Eric B
And... they switched to a 9310 bolt. How do I know you may ask? It's printed on the bolt (got to give them points for honesty). I've had my original Spikes BCGs for going on eight years- and they've lasted and worn well through thousands of rounds with only an extractor spring and gas rings changed a few times. I ended up getting this new version, assuming the bolt was still C158 (and the new ones have the "made in America" on it). Bit of a let down, since I've been a brand advocate for Spikes for many years. I'll keep it in my fun gun, but not on a duty gun (yeah, yeah, I know, 9310 is supposedly "just" as good- but until I see someone invest in true testing, I'll go with what is known for now). Primary sent it quick as usual!
Great BCG

Works well and the logo adds a nice touch.
Half a** gas key staking.
by Jeffrey -
This in no way a reflection on primary arms but, I bought this bcg because spikes is know for their quality but the one I received evidently got by qc the gas key staking if that's what you can call it is non existent looks like they tried but that's about it very dissatisfied with spikes. I'll be ordering a staking jig from brownells to do what spikes clearly didn't.
This is my go to BCG

You really can't go wrong with Spike's. I installed this BCG in a PSA build of mine and I'm very satisfied. Runs flawlessly and is made of the highest quality. I put at least 500 rounds through this no issues or hiccups. I'll be buying another.
Spikes phosphate BCG

Firstly, Primary Arms,,, 5 Stars for you folks. Outstanding selection, prices and ship times. You can slide on some parts but certain parts of the AR need to be of good quality, BCG being one of these. The BCG inspection, well made, key staked properly, finished nicely, most importantly "PROPERLY" chrome lined for bolt. Absolutely on par with BCM. Thanks again Primary arms--may you live forever.
