Excellent.

Awesome light out to 100 yds. Nice beam, railmount is nice and snug, and all the stuff you need to install. I also orderded the arisaka adapter and surefire SR07 for fun and for extra parts. Very nice. Arisaka adapter includes two o-rings which was also convenient just in case your running the original Streamlight tail switch and you experience flicker, just pop one of those in and I guess you’re good. Haven’t tried it yet because I didn’t have any flicker under recoil from the surefire/arisaka setup I’m currently using. Overall very satisfied with everything and it was a pretty good deal. Thanks!

Great Light

Streamlight delivers quality at a great value. These lights are awesome. I've had several of their handheld lights and they have never failed, and I don't expect this will. The only thing I will mention is that I recommend buying your own M-LOK hardware (screws & nuts). The mount itself is fine, but the hardware it comes with not OEM Magpul M-LOK and I've had similar chinese-made screws like those strip out quite easily. It may not be 100% necessary, but it sure makes me feel better.

Bought a second one

I already had one of these on a rifle, so when I needed a light for another rifle it was an easy decision. I'm sure more expensive options do things better, but I find these serve my needs pretty well.

Excellent rifle light

I put the Streamlight Protac HL-X 1000 on my 16" home defense carbine using the M-Lok mount. It is plenty bright with good throw/spill, and the pressure switch mounts to the picatinny rail where my thumb rests. 10 / 10

Great light, except for the tape switch

Love the light. Would buy one for every AR.
Problem: Out of the box, tape switch didn't work. Doesn't look damaged and everything seems in order but it will not function at all

Best bang for your buck light

Love this light! Has everything you need to be up and running with a tape switch too. Can’t afford a surefire, but streamlight lights have been very solid for me.

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

This thing is great, I have been running these light on all of my long guns and i see no reason to switch it up any time soon!

Great 4 the money, and buy it from Primary Arms!!

Bright, good range on it, durable, comes with a good m-lok mount, comes with a good tape switch, and is very reasonably priced. What more do you need?
I bought it for 140$, and then 2 days later Primary Arms has a sale on it for 99.99$. Unlucky. I contacted Primary Arms and they actually gave me the difference of the sale price, really awesome. Good people, would rather buy it here than on Amazon or on PSA :)

Which is better?

I have used many lights over the years, Streamlight, Surefire, Sig, Olight, Inforce, and some names I’m REALLY not proud of. Of those, Surefire seems to be the one people talk about more…. But this Streamlight has a higher candela with lower lumens than my Surefire, it comes with a pressure switch and a way to mount it, and costs hundreds less than a Surefire. I opt for a Cloud Defensive pressure switch mount, but the one included still functions fine. This light also has the strobe feature, which my Surefire does not. The only thing I wish was better on this light is the tail cap, because if it’s unsecured it can free-spin, and if it spins too far the pressure switch activation doesn’t work (just switch back and you’re fine). I can light up the entire corn field behind my house with this or send a message in Morse code to the next county over, so I have no issues with this light.

Save the money for a premium light

Died on me literally after a month. Yes it’s bright, yes it all sounds good on paper, but the day after the range. It stopped working. Going Surefire next time
