Great Light, Incorrect description
by Colton -
Haven't had much time to use the light, but in testing, it seems to perform well for the cost.
I have one problem.
In the description it lists that one of the programmable options is:
High / Strobe / Low (Factory Default)
What I have noticed is that there is no third press option for low on this programmable setting.
The listing on Streamlight's website lists the light's default mode only having High and strobe. This is what I see with my light.
Low is only available in the low / High programmable option, leaving strobe 10 taps away if you want to go from low to strobe.
Dang, this is bright!

1000 lumens is no joke, and the strobe effect is just another positive, and honestly a necessity on a home defense weapon. Price point and durability is right where it should be. I'll definitely be getting another one for my shotgun!
Good light (when it works)

This light is really fantastic when it works, but I have so many times where it won't work, clearing my house with it is terrifying. For that reason, I am replacing it with a nicer alternative... It's a great light if it is for range use only, but that's pointless.
Issues with reliability
by David -
The spring in the battery tube doesn't have enough tension with the supplied batteries. I've found multiple people complaining of the same issue that I've had where the light just randomly doesn't work. If you switch the battery to a single 18650 style battery it should solve the problem. The new battery is just larger enough that it takes up the slack that the supplied spring has. Other than this issue this is a great light. The best value I could find in a 1,000 lumen mountable flashlight.
Perfect until..

Like many of you, I bought this as an alternative to more expensive branded lights. However I experienced what seems to be common issue with these lights. After slamming the bolt forward in my AR, the light flickers. On the other one I purchased ( I bought 2), it shuts off completely. I had to slap/tap the light really hard to get it to turn on again. The fix is to buy a 9/16 o ring to be inserted at the tail cap. I Think I'll be buying nice this time and not twice.
Great quality

Bought due to so many positive reviews and now I’ll be adding my own. Extremely bright, light for its size, easy to manipulate and I could continue to go on. Extremely pleased with the product and fast shipping.
Best budget WML

Can’t beat it for the price. Had issues with the pressure pad after about 2-3 years of duty use. Really your best option for a long gun light under $250. If you can swing $250+ then modlite, HRT, etc are the way to go.
Hard to beat for the money

Great mounting options with the quick release and an MLOK angled mount. With a tail button cap OR tapeswitch cap the fit is great! The tapeswitch cap has a guide to protect and angle the power wire toward the handguard so its less prone to snagging. The tapeswitch also has a momentary pad and a separate button for full on.
The programming for function is straightforward to configure for low/high/strobe defaults using the manual.
Don't buy a separate offset mount.

These lights are awesome, especially for the price. I've heard that the tape switches are kinda wimpy but I'm not exactly a hardcore operator so they've been just fine for me. I have three now and I've bought an Arisaka offset scout mount with all three. Upon opening my third one I realized that Stream light now apparently provides their own offset m-lock mount with it. I'm just irritated that I spent an unnecessary almost 50 dollars on the arisaka mount
Save the money for a premium light

Died on me literally after a month. Yes it’s bright, yes it all sounds good on paper, but the day after the range. It stopped working. Going Surefire next time
