Works well... needs break-in

by

Lower assembled easily. Good feel, good machining, really like the finish. Logos and engraving understated, almost invisible.

Folder: well-thought-out and engineered design. Very stiff initially. Should apply Rocksett to pivot screw to prevent nut loosening. Needed oil and about 30 min (~400 open/close cycles) to loosen folding mechanism. Hand placement on the buffer tube (and use of thumb to operate release) takes some getting used to. Folds down slightly more compact than the LAW. Overall folded length of the weapon is shorter by just under 1". Elongated buffer does not protrude past the rear of the receiver when folded. We need buffer weight options for H2/H3.

Feel is not as smooth as the LAW folder initially, but I am sure that will come with continued use. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and intend to acquire at least two more to build SBRs.

Stout receiver perfect for a PDW.

Even in these crazy pre civil war pt 2 times, a $250 mil spec folding reciever is definitely a bargain, tho at time of writing it costs $300 now, but I say it's still beats the LAW tactical on any other billet receiver. 17 Design and Manuf. really puts out a quality product, period. For anyone iffy about the company, they're the same LE and Mil contractor that gave us the Shield Arms S15 glock magazine, so rest assured quality is written all over. Set screw tapped and threaded. This receiver blows all others out of the ballpark.

Absolutely great.

Best option I've found for folding an AR. Better than the LAW Folder, hands down. Beefy, rugged, and a very intuitive folding mechanism.

Fan-Freaking-Tastic lower!!!

This lower is very nice in fit and finish. The integrated folding is great and doesn't have the slop in so many of the add-on folders. Having the extension on the buffer rather than added to the bcg is much better and allows you to open the upper from the lower without removing anything to do so. One of my favorite lowers so far!

Just arrived...

First impressions. Yep! It's a lower and a folder mixed in one. AND mine came with the NEW H1 that with the SS extension, NOT the cheap(er) one pictured with the lower. I was presently surprised about that.

The folder hinge seems durable. We'll see. The release button also seems very sturdy and tight. You gotta press it very intentionally.

The bolt stop/release lever retaining pin is threaded so no more having to beat a roll pin in place and stretching up your lower.

No more to report at this time.

Great design

I really like the integrated folder on this lower. It keeps the overall length a little shorter than the law version. It is well built and seems to be holding up well to the use. Recommended.
