This trigger is designed to work with most AK rifles without fitment. Some models have a rear trigger guard rivet that may interfere with trigger function and damage the disconnector if this rivet extends more than 0.062" in height. It is strongly advised that a qualified gunsmith install and fit the trigger by either beveling the disconnector or shaving the rivet for proper fitment.

replaced Tapco with the ALG, feels a lot better, had to used and file down the safety pin which was simple just needed a little patience, highly recommend

This is a Geisele trigger for an AK. But unlike other true drop in triggers for the AR platform, this will take some extra work to get it perfect. I used a Dremel, but take your time, watch some videos, and measure twice, and you'll get one of the best trigger upgrades for an AK money can buy!

My AK is a PSA GF3 and I love it. Having said that, the stock trigger was a lot like angel food cake - spongy. You'd pull the trigger and it kept going, going, then - BANG! Round down range. I never got used to the long trigger pull and accuracy suffered. I needed a new trigger, but the ALG Lightning Bow was out of stock. For a reason - this thing is awesome. Great performance and like night/day over the stock trigger. Doesn't feel gritty and the trigger has a lot better performance and travel. Wasn't hard to install (watched a video in the internet which helped) and did not need to file anything or make any adjustment whatsoever. Pull out the old, pop in the new. It was that simple. If the Lightning Bow is out of stock, wait and then grab one. You will be glad you did.

I have this triger on all my AKs just sweet shooter no lag n the reset😀😁😀 even better had to install the pin on my WASR, ZASTAVA ZPAP M70, WBP FOX my other ones didn't need it it's super easy to install the pin some youtubers make sound like it's a headache or hard just some common sense n patience doesn't take long either just adds n extra 15 minutes to the installation is just the BEST bang for your buck great trigger for super great price 💨💥💨

Too lite even with upgrades

Great break but far far to lite for a "combat" or "self defense" trigger. With both the extra trigger spring and the alg high energy main spring upgrades my trigger is still below 3#s. I no longer feel comfortable teaching new shooters on the AK for fear of a ND.
This would be a 5 star trigger if advertised correctly, as a budget target / 3 gun trigger.

SUPERB AK TRIGGER AT A SUPERB PRICE

For members of my family I have now installed 5 of these SUPERB triggers and there have been no problems and everyone has been amazed at the quality of the crisp light break and rapid reset these triggers provide. Anyone having problems with these triggers has to have an inferior AK variant such as the garbage that Century Arms foists on the public. With the possible exception of the Red Star trigger there simply IS NO BETTER AK trigger available and you cannot even compare the crappy inconsistent old Tapco trigger to these true works of trigger art!
Get this! Not CMC or the $90 one

I love the AK. I got two builds and an Aresenal 74. I used to be quite the purists when it came to ak's but I was doing a build on a 47 polish kit and decided to just slap this bad boy in. I'm so glad I did. I'm now buying another one for my wife's build and am going to be putting one in on the 74. It's that good. Crisp and clean reset, very positive trigger that's consistent and honestly ALG is practically making this trigger a standard for AK's at the price they're offering. You could throw money at a CMC, which I've handled, but honestly CMC triggers are for precision class weapons, and more sensitive then a liberal. Good triggers, but if you're running and gunning I would be afraid to have discharge from a CMC. If you anticipate getting dirty you're gonna want the balance and tactile feedback of this trigger.
This is a no-nonsense buy for the price and a very laudable TREAT YO'SELF gift.
Also go buy the high tension spring with it, really aids in follow up shots.
