This trigger is designed to work with rifles most rifles without fitment. Some models have a rear trigger guard rivet that may interfere with trigger function and damage the disconnector if this rivet extends more than 0.062" in height. It is strongly advised that a qualified gunsmith install and fit the trigger by either beveling the disconnector or shaving the rivet for proper fitment.

Works on a Galil ARM
by Cliff -
So far so good in my classic Galil built on a CNC Warrior receiver. No modifications needed.
Too lite even with upgrades
by Unkn0WN -
Great break but far far to lite for a "combat" or "self defense" trigger. With both the extra trigger spring and the alg high energy main spring upgrades my trigger is still below 3#s. I no longer feel comfortable teaching new shooters on the AK for fear of a ND.
<br>This would be a 5 star trigger if advertised correctly, as a budget target / 3 gun trigger.
Amazing upgrade for the price

Installed and immediately felt smooth, pull is great, installation was a breeze, I did have to use a roll pin, this is amazing
SUPERB AK TRIGGER AT A SUPERB PRICE
by Barbarosa Guns
For members of my family I have now installed 5 of these SUPERB triggers and there have been no problems and everyone has been amazed at the quality of the crisp light break and rapid reset these triggers provide. Anyone having problems with these triggers has to have an inferior AK variant such as the garbage that Century Arms foists on the public. With the possible exception of the Red Star trigger there simply IS NO BETTER AK trigger available and you cannot even compare the crappy inconsistent old Tapco trigger to these true works of trigger art!
Get this! Not CMC or the $90 one
I love the AK. I got two builds and an Aresenal 74. I used to be quite the purists when it came to ak's but I was doing a build on a 47 polish kit and decided to just slap this bad boy in. I'm so glad I did. I'm now buying another one for my wife's build and am going to be putting one in on the 74. It's that good. Crisp and clean reset, very positive trigger that's consistent and honestly ALG is practically making this trigger a standard for AK's at the price they're offering. You could throw money at a CMC, which I've handled, but honestly CMC triggers are for precision class weapons, and more sensitive then a liberal. Good triggers, but if you're running and gunning I would be afraid to have discharge from a CMC. If you anticipate getting dirty you're gonna want the balance and tactile feedback of this trigger.
<br>This is a no-nonsense buy for the price and a very laudable TREAT YO'SELF gift.
<br>Also go buy the high tension spring with it, really aids in follow up shots.
Huge AK trigger upgrade for a low cost
by Dave -
I cannot believe what an improvement over my original Arsenal trigger. If you are concerned about too low of pull force may be the only reason to pass. My change was from a scratchy and uneven 6.75 to 7.75 lbs down to a pretty consistent 2.5 pounds. Install was fairly easy with great results so I highly recommend this product. PA is as always, great to deal with!!
I installed it in my Yugo M92 and absolutely loved it. Ordered another one from PA and installed in my Saiga converted and there is a lot of creep in the trigger. Very strange. Same triggers but feel different in both rifles.
Okay for a range gun, but nothing else.

Pros:<br>- Trigger is good when it works<br><br>Cons:<br>- reliability: disconnector on the first trigger broke after 200 rounds. on the second trigger hook bent in less than 500 rounds.<br>- customer service from ALG: requested a refund for the first and second triggers - they've refused and only offered to send a replacement parts<br>- installation: while not difficult, still requires a lot more filing and fitting than a typical Tapco or an Arsenal triggers<br><br>After having such a negative experience with it I went back to a standard Tapco G2 trigger which works without an issue. This trigger works and feel fine when it works, but I don't recommend putting it on anything other than a range gun.
Works on C39v1
by Joe B.
Bought the AKT for my C39v1 which had the Tapco G2 trigger. Install went smoothly and don't forget to replace the shepherds hook with a good retainer plate. I did not have to use the roll pin with my stock safety lever but I had bought the Krebs enhanced safety and once I installed this the safety did not engage properly with the AKT. So I installed the roll pin and filed it down as the instructions say and everything works great. I really like the short crisp trigger pull and short reset. Much better than G2 trigger. I will say that if I put my stock safety back on it won't work with the AKT the way it is now with roll pin. The AKT is setup with the Krebs safety. There are differences in safetys that affect function with the AKT. It is really due to the short pull of the AKT. But I don't think I'll take the Krebs safety off so I'll keep the setup the way it is.
Best Upgrade without a doubt!
Best upgrade to any AK. Easy install and worth every penny. So much better than Tapco that came with my rifle. And of coarse I received the trigger a day early. Always fast and great service A+++++
Simply the best
by Hesperus -
For the money, I would happily pay more for this trigger, and very nearly did from another retailer until I found out that they were in stock here. Canceled my order at the other place, shipped the next day. Arrived after a weekend transit. This trigger is just superb, transforms the AK beyond description. Had to reconture the safety on my Zastava PAP pistol but it was almost a drop in fit on my VEPR. Had to file the safety just a smidgeon to get everything to function smoothly.

Installed in a Yugo N-PAP M70. Had to use the pin and had to file on the safety for the disconnector to work correctly. No big deal, but wasnt expecting to do that. But hey it's a Yugo N-PAP I should have expected it right? Anyway great trigger huge improvement ove the G2.
Best non adjustable trigger out there
It's better than the Tapco G2 is out of the box. It's what the Tapco g2 trigger becomes after the perfect trigger job. It utilizes your original ak hammer spring so you know it's not going to give you light primer strikes. Yet it has the feel of a target trigger with finer wire spring. Hard hammer strike without the heavy mile long trigger pull. Break is quick and clean. The sort of break you would expect to pay a lot more to get right out of the box. The safety contact point on it is adjustable for application which is the only thing that keeps it from being "drop in". But I prefer it. They use roll pin you tap town to right length. Far superior to set screw style designs that back out or require lock tight. I installed this on my PSL. So it will fit that or any other common ak. I only polished certain surfaces but that is all it needed to be optimized. As the angles on the parts are already right. Auxiliary spring ensure the trigger resets quickly without adding noticeable trigger pull weight. This one might require a little fitment to fit in reciever but I have also experienced that with other AKs. Totally worth it though. Every AK should have at least this standard quality of trigger. Directing easy to follow with pictures too. Target trigger feel with minimum fitment without sacrificing mil spec reliability.
ALG AK47 trigger
Received the trigger promptly. I did have to insert the pin and file it down to be sure the safety worked. No big deal just takes a little time and they give you a spare in case you mess up. There is a 2nd spring and it's installation is optional. The spring adds about 1 lb to the weight. I didn't install it at first. The trigger is very light I measured it at 2.5 lbs. Scary light but safe. I installed the spring and now it feels like a very good 2 stage AR trigger. There is a definite take up and then a crisp break. Awesome trigger for the money.
Much better than a polished Tapco G2!
I was on the fence about getting this trigger because I already had a polished up G2 that was pretty slick. My main gripe with the G2 was the long yet light pull and the forceful and long reset. The ALG AKT solves both of those issues. There's very little takeup and the pull is very light. The pull is so light in fact that ALG supplies an additional spring to increase the pull weight. I used that spring in my AK because without that spring the pull felt scary light. Also the additional spring helped make the reset more positive. All in all a VERY worthwhile upgrade even from a good Tapco G2. It feels like a Geissele AR trigger because the Geissele folks designed it. If you want a great AR like trigger feel in your AK you cannot go wrong with the ALG AKT!
Well worth the money!
I currently have 9 ak variants. This trigger found it's way in to my Draco SBR and is hands down my favorite! No trigger slap the reset is crisp and short making for much easier follow up shots. Trigger pull is smooth throughout and light without compromising safety. Instalation was very easy and filing the roll pin for custom safety selector was a breeze. It's the best I've experienced so far.
Certainly a "best buy" for a great AK trigger upgrade
Another reviewer claimed that this ALG is the best trigger group available for the AK. In that I would disagree as the somewhat over-costly Red Star trigger is superior and adjustable and can be set for single OR double stage let off. For the price though I have to question whether the slightly lighter and somewhat more crisp Red Star is worth paying almost twice as much than the ALG is selling for. Myself and family members have several AK's and I personally own 3 two of which are outfitted with the ALG trigger and only one with the Red Star. The ALG is easier to install as well and none of my family members AK's needed that roll pin and thus forced into "filing to function" with the safety.....so that is a plus for us. "Consumer Reports" if that libtard publication would even bother to issue trigger reports would certainly rate the ALG as a "best buy" I certainly do. Also after several thousands of rounds I have not had the spring problem that one reviewer mentioned. I would suggest he contact ALG or Geisselle about the problem and I am certain they will make him very happy as either something happened during the order processing or there was some extremely rare factory screw up with his really unique problem. I am an FFL holder and a gunsmith and have installed a LOT of these triggers for customers despite the incredible ease of installation of the trigger group and have NEVER heard of any failures related to the ALG trigger. I do suggest that when you get yours that you take some emery cloth to the contact surfaces. Turns an already light and crisp trigger into an eye opener of a trigger group. Also don't forget to oil or apply a light coating of quality grease to the areas mentioned in the install instructions.
I am very cheap! I was very close to just buying another G2 trigger for my build but I thought I'd give this one a try. This is a huge improvement over a stock trigger or a G2 trigger. I have not tried the little additional spring included as I'm happy the way it is without it. There is a pin you can use to tighten up the slack where the safety stops the trigger. My particular rifle probably would have been fine without it but I used it anyway. After a little custom fitment of the pin the safety/trigger relationship is much much better. As I see deals on the triggers I'll be swapping out my stock/G2 triggers with these. Crazy fast and great service from Primary Arms as well but that's not surprising..
Good not great
I own this and a tapco g2 and this trigger is not 20 dollars better there is not much difference in the trigger pull. The ALG trigger is definatley harder to install and might need the roll pin installed and then to be filed down which is a PITA. The alg trigger does have a more comfortable trigger bow but if I had to buy another it would be the g2

Had this on my rifle for a few months and just now started having issues with it. The hammer would fall behind the carrier when my finger is holding the trigger in the fire position. The primers had a pin mark indented on them as if I had a light strike. It seems as if the disconnector is not engaging properly or at all. My guess would be the spring may have worn out and after only 300 rounds. I guess I can replace and/or correct the issues I am having with this FCG but I'd rather count my losses and reinstall the original FCG and call it a day. Until now it had been a great trigger
This trigger is quite amazing. The trigger has always been one of the major drawbacks to the ak platform in my opinion but this fixes that. I was going to wait on the enhanced version of this (nickel teflon coated) but im glad I didnt. This trigger is insanely light and I mean light! Mines barely 3 pounds pull and the enhanced is even less. For a fighting rifle thats just too light imo. It does come with a spring you can use to increase the pull weight which was a nice touch and good idea. Best ak trigger hands down. Improved my groups significantly.

Switched from the Tapco G2 to this holy $h!t it goes fast. I can bump fire this purposely and accidently lol. If your're into shooting fast this is FCG to go with. If you're into precision shooting with your AK (oxymoron) then this might not be for you. It's just way too light. Other than that this trigger will probably monopolize the AK FCG market its that good and affordable. Overall great trigger the next AK I purchase will have an ALG AKT in it.
ALG DEfense AK trigger
by Tim Jordan
Easy install- -had to use roll pin for tight fit against Saiga 762 safety tang. Minor filing. Quality product--ordered 2 more.
This Trigger is a great upgrade.Smooth lighter pull, and shorter reset. It's worth the 20.00 extra dollars.I replaced all my AK triggers with the AKT trigger.
Excellent Trigger and Customer Service
The ALG Trigger is a moderately priced upgrade that really makes a difference over a stock Tapco trigger. Much smoother and shorter reset. As always customer service at Primary is incredible and shipping was same day once they had in stock.
