ALG Defense AK Trigger Enhanced with Lightning Bow

Another reviewer claimed that this ALG is the best trigger group available for the AK. In that I would disagree as the somewhat over-costly Red Star trigger is superior and adjustable and can be set for single OR double stage let off. For the price though I have to question whether the slightly lighter and somewhat more crisp Red Star is worth paying almost twice as much than the ALG is selling for. Myself and family members have several AK's and I personally own 3 two of which are outfitted with the ALG trigger and only one with the Red Star. The ALG is easier to install as well and none of my family members AK's needed that roll pin and thus forced into "filing to function" with the safety.....so that is a plus for us. "Consumer Reports" if that libtard publication would even bother to issue trigger reports would certainly rate the ALG as a "best buy" I certainly do. Also after several thousands of rounds I have not had the spring problem that one reviewer mentioned. I would suggest he contact ALG or Geisselle about the problem and I am certain they will make him very happy as either something happened during the order processing or there was some extremely rare factory screw up with his really unique problem. I am an FFL holder and a gunsmith and have installed a LOT of these triggers for customers despite the incredible ease of installation of the trigger group and have NEVER heard of any failures related to the ALG trigger. I do suggest that when you get yours that you take some emery cloth to the contact surfaces. Turns an already light and crisp trigger into an eye opener of a trigger group. Also don't forget to oil or apply a light coating of quality grease to the areas mentioned in the install instructions.

Received the trigger promptly. I did have to insert the pin and file it down to be sure the safety worked. No big deal just takes a little time and they give you a spare in case you mess up. There is a 2nd spring and it's installation is optional. The spring adds about 1 lb to the weight. I didn't install it at first. The trigger is very light I measured it at 2.5 lbs. Scary light but safe. I installed the spring and now it feels like a very good 2 stage AR trigger. There is a definite take up and then a crisp break. Awesome trigger for the money.

Switched from the Tapco G2 to this holy $h!t it goes fast. I can bump fire this purposely and accidently lol. If your're into shooting fast this is FCG to go with. If you're into precision shooting with your AK (oxymoron) then this might not be for you. It's just way too light. Other than that this trigger will probably monopolize the AK FCG market its that good and affordable. Overall great trigger the next AK I purchase will have an ALG AKT in it.

I own this and a tapco g2 and this trigger is not 20 dollars better there is not much difference in the trigger pull. The ALG trigger is definatley harder to install and might need the roll pin installed and then to be filed down which is a PITA. The alg trigger does have a more comfortable trigger bow but if I had to buy another it would be the g2

Had this on my rifle for a few months and just now started having issues with it. The hammer would fall behind the carrier when my finger is holding the trigger in the fire position. The primers had a pin mark indented on them as if I had a light strike. It seems as if the disconnector is not engaging properly or at all. My guess would be the spring may have worn out and after only 300 rounds. I guess I can replace and/or correct the issues I am having with this FCG but I'd rather count my losses and reinstall the original FCG and call it a day. Until now it had been a great trigger

I cannot believe what an improvement over my original Arsenal trigger. If you are concerned about too low of pull force may be the only reason to pass. My change was from a scratchy and uneven 6.75 to 7.75 lbs down to a pretty consistent 2.5 pounds. Install was fairly easy with great results so I highly recommend this product. I love the AK. I got two builds and an Aresenal 74. I used to be quite the purists when it came to ak's but I was doing a build on a 47 polish kit and decided to just slap this bad boy in. I'm so glad I did. I'm now buying another one for my wife's build and am going to be putting one in on the 74. It's that good. Crisp and clean reset, very positive trigger that's consistent and honestly ALG is practically making this trigger a standard for AK's at the price they're offering. You could throw money at a CMC, which I've handled, but honestly CMC triggers are for precision class weapons, and more sensitive then a liberal. Good triggers, but if you're running and gunning I would be afraid to have discharge from a CMC. If you anticipate getting dirty you're gonna want the balance and tactile feedback of this trigger.
This is a no-nonsense buy for the price and a very laudable TREAT YO'SELF gift.
Also go buy the high tension spring with it, really aids in follow up shots.

For members of my family I have now installed 5 of these SUPERB triggers and there have been no problems and everyone has been amazed at the quality of the crisp light break and rapid reset these triggers provide. Anyone having problems with these triggers has to have an inferior AK variant such as the garbage that Century Arms foists on the public. With the possible exception of the Red Star trigger there simply IS NO BETTER AK trigger available and you cannot even compare the crappy inconsistent old Tapco trigger to these true works of trigger art!

Installed and immediately felt smooth, pull is great, installation was a breeze, I did have to use a roll pin, this is amazing

Great break but far far to lite for a "combat" or "self defense" trigger. With both the extra trigger spring and the alg high energy main spring upgrades my trigger is still below 3#s. I no longer feel comfortable teaching new shooters on the AK for fear of a ND.

This would be a 5 star trigger if advertised correctly, as a budget target / 3 gun trigger.
