The ALG Defense AK Trigger Enhanced with Light Bow is one of the best upgrades available for your AK pattern rifle. Providing a pull that is significantly shorter and more smooth than the stock trigger, it is ideal for use whether you're plinking at the range or in need for a combat trigger. Machined from triple alloy steel with a durable manganese phosphate finish, the AKT features the Lightning Bow, offering a very comfortable pull with enhanced control. Every ALG Defense AKT is made 100% in the United States and counts as 3 parts toward 922(r) compliance.

This trigger is designed to work with rifles most rifles without fitment. Some models have a rear trigger guard rivet that may interfere with trigger function and damage the disconnector if this rivet extends more than 0.062" in height. It is strongly advised that a qualified gunsmith install and fit the trigger by either beveling the disconnector or shaving the rivet for proper fitment.

Great Trigger

I purchased this trigger to replace an aging Tapco unit that came in my AMD65. The Tapco broke cleanly at under 4 pounds, while the ALG cut that in half, literally. The new trigger broke at 2 lbs even with a smooth pull that has a slightly longer travel to the break than the Tapco. Installation is more complicated than the Tapco, as the Tapco traps the trigger/sear/sear spring as one unit and the ALG does not. A slave pin would improve ease of assembly in the ALG. I had to install the roll pin that came with it in the new trigger and file it until it interacted with the safety lever properly, as described in the detailed instructions. Again, install was more complicated but not difficult. I took my time using only hand tools and it only took about 1/2 an hour. The flat trigger bow of the ALG is far more comfortable for me than the sharp hook of the Tapco. Overall, I am extremely satisfied, and I highly recommend the ALG trigger to all AK enthusiasts.
