ALG Defense AK Trigger Enhanced with Lightning Bow

It's better than the Tapco G2 is out of the box. It's what the Tapco g2 trigger becomes after the perfect trigger job. It utilizes your original ak hammer spring so you know it's not going to give you light primer strikes. Yet it has the feel of a target trigger with finer wire spring. Hard hammer strike without the heavy mile long trigger pull. Break is quick and clean. The sort of break you would expect to pay a lot more to get right out of the box. The safety contact point on it is adjustable for application which is the only thing that keeps it from being "drop in". But I prefer it. They use roll pin you tap town to right length. Far superior to set screw style designs that back out or require lock tight. I installed this on my PSL. So it will fit that or any other common ak. I only polished certain surfaces but that is all it needed to be optimized. As the angles on the parts are already right. Auxiliary spring ensure the trigger resets quickly without adding noticeable trigger pull weight. This one might require a little fitment to fit in reciever but I have also experienced that with other AKs. Totally worth it though. Every AK should have at least this standard quality of trigger. Directing easy to follow with pictures too. Target trigger feel with minimum fitment without sacrificing mil spec reliability.

I installed it in my Yugo M92 and absolutely loved it. Ordered another one from PA and installed in my Saiga converted and there is a lot of creep in the trigger. Very strange. Same triggers but feel different in both rifles.

Pros:
- Trigger is good when it works

Cons:
- reliability: disconnector on the first trigger broke after 200 rounds. on the second trigger hook bent in less than 500 rounds.
- customer service from ALG: requested a refund for the first and second triggers - they've refused and only offered to send a replacement parts
- installation: while not difficult, still requires a lot more filing and fitting than a typical Tapco or an Arsenal triggers

After having such a negative experience with it I went back to a standard Tapco G2 trigger which works without an issue. This trigger works and feel fine when it works, but I don't recommend putting it on anything other than a range gun.

Bought the AKT for my C39v1 which had the Tapco G2 trigger. Install went smoothly and don't forget to replace the shepherds hook with a good retainer plate. I did not have to use the roll pin with my stock safety lever but I had bought the Krebs enhanced safety and once I installed this the safety did not engage properly with the AKT. So I installed the roll pin and filed it down as the instructions say and everything works great. I really like the short crisp trigger pull and short reset. Much better than G2 trigger. I will say that if I put my stock safety back on it won't work with the AKT the way it is now with roll pin. The AKT is setup with the Krebs safety. There are differences in safetys that affect function with the AKT. It is really due to the short pull of the AKT. But I don't think I'll take the Krebs safety off so I'll keep the setup the way it is.

Best upgrade to any AK. Easy install and worth every penny. So much better than Tapco that came with my rifle. And of coarse I received the trigger a day early. Always fast and great service A+++++

For the money, I would happily pay more for this trigger, and very nearly did from another retailer until I found out that they were in stock here. Canceled my order at the other place, shipped the next day. Arrived after a weekend transit. This trigger is just superb, transforms the AK beyond description. Had to reconture the safety on my Zastava PAP pistol but it was almost a drop in fit on my VEPR. Had to file the safety just a smidgeon to get everything to function smoothly.

Installed in a Yugo N-PAP M70. Had to use the pin and had to file on the safety for the disconnector to work correctly. No big deal, but wasnt expecting to do that. But hey it's a Yugo N-PAP I should have expected it right? Anyway great trigger huge improvement ove the G2.

This Trigger is a great upgrade.Smooth lighter pull,and shorter reset.It's worth the 20.00 extra dollars.I replaced all my AK triggers with the AKT trigger.

Easy install- -had to use roll pin for tight fit against Saiga 762 safety tang. Minor filing. Quality product--ordered 2 more.

The ALG Trigger is a moderately priced upgrade that really makes a difference over a stock Tapco trigger. Much smoother and shorter reset.As always customer service at Primary is incredible and shipping was same day once they had in stock.
