The Ballistic Advantage Modern Series 16" AR-15 barrel is designed for performance and longevity. Built from 4150 CrMoV steel, this government contour barrel features a QPQ nitride finish inside and out, offering exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. Chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 rate of twist, this barrel supports both standard and heavier grain projectiles, while its mid-length gas system provides smooth cycling and reduced recoil. The 1/2x28 threaded muzzle is compatible with flash hiders and other muzzle devices. The Modern Series 16-inch AR-15 barrel features a standard .750" gas block journal. Weighing in at 28 ounces, this lightweight AR-15 barrel is backed by a sub-MOA guarantee when used with match-grade ammunition.

Off center gas port CS was no help

Gas port was slightly off center, dimpled barrel and only noticed after I put on my gas block that it was canted and the feed ramps were off. Help desk had me send it back only to return it with a note saying "repaired -Armory". Nothing was changed. I took a gamble on a brand and it cost me. Will not be buying BA products again.

Bought this barrel for my first ar build. Thoroughly impressed with its performance. I’m not that good of a shot, but the accuracy is amazing even 1000 rounds in. Also note that I’ve had zero feeding issues at all. Pairs very well with my BA upper.

Finally, an accurate barrel that has a properly cut chamber! I bought this 16" barrel in 5.56 and another in .308 for my last 2 builds. 0 issues with failure to properly extract / eject with both rifles. I am pleased with the reliability, durability, and accuracy of this barrel, I bought a way more expensive, different brand of barrel on another build and got stuck with a lemon due to the improper sizing of chamber I had to hone out.
First BA Barrel

Bought this barrel on sale, and have always used BCM barrels for my other rifles. This one, first time out with more than 80 rounds through it, was a pleasant surprise. Very happy with the accuracy and the quality!
