Ballistic Advantage Modern Series 16" 5.56 NATO Government Contour 1:7 Nitride AR-15 Barrel - Mid-Length - 1/2x28

This is a solid barrel for the price. We have built a lot of rifles over the last 5 years using this barrel, and the quality and consistency remains the same. Fit and finish is solid. The tolerance and fit of the barrel extension is perfect fit across several upper receiver manufactures. Gas Block journal is perfect fit for most gas blocks, not to tight or loose. Found that accuracy break in is about 50 to 60 rounds, groups start to get tight. Mostly shoot 55 to 65 grain ammo, likes everything you throw in it.

Great barrel

Wow! Way better performance than expected. the barrel holds 1 moa or less with all ammo used from the bench. I was able to keep a 3" group at 200 yards with a red dot and a sand bag using cheap ball ammo. excellent finish and fit.

I had put about 12,000 rounds with my old factory barrel and started noticing accuracy issues and bullet sway. I switch it with the BA barrel and I’m hitting perfect groups again. The look through my rail looks great as well.
Just a heads up, Since this is mid length Your factory gas tube will be too short, factory gas tubes are carbine length so get a mid length tube if your replacing factory parts

This is an absolutely excellent barrel. I used this for a battle rifle type build that I did, and I wanted something that could maintain excellent accuracy without having to deal with the extra fore-end weight of a heavier barrel. I've only put about 100 rounds or so through it, but I sighted it in at 50 yards, and it was grouping VERY tight (right at about 2 inches) using 55gr XM193 ball ammo. I'd imagine with some match ammo, it would be extremely tight!

All in all, this barrel is accurate, very high quality, and helped lend to my build coming in at 6 lbs, 5 oz. Absolutely zero complaints!

Great barrel for the price, especially when its on sale. Fit, finish and machining are very good, groups really well with very little break in. Unlike a lot of barrels it's not over gassed. The ejection patter was where it should be even with hot hand loads and a normal buffer installed.

Great barrel shoots flat no signs of damage from shipping. Overall worth the price!

Just finished the build with this barrel, shots of 6 rounds the all end up within a 2.5-3in circle at 50 yards. The only thing I wish was for the barrel to have a dimple or 2 for the gas block lock screws.

Haven't shot it yet, but looks great out of the box. Heard great things about these barrels, so I expect them to perform well once I get some range time.

This was a good barrel with reasonable accuracy for a battle rifle. However, I had to chase the muzzle threads with a 1/2 x 28 die to get the muzzle device to screw on correctly.
