The Geissele SSA-E X Trigger builds on the chassis of the original SSA trigger with a Lightning Bow design and a reduced pull weight, giving shooters a lighter, more precise two-stage break than the standard SSA X.
Features:
- Two-stage design with a non-adjustable 2.9 to 3.8 lb total pull weight
- First stage: 2.0 to 2.5 lbs; second stage: 0.9 to 1.3 lbs
- Lightning Bow combines a flat face with a curved profile for improved trigger control
- Nano-coated body and hammer with a Chrome Nitride disconnector for wear and corrosion resistance
- Standard .154" mil-spec trigger and hammer pins for broad lower receiver compatibility
- Compatible with both AR-15 and AR-10 platforms
The Enhanced (E) designation's reduced first and second stage weights give shooters a crisper, more consistent break for building muscle memory around exactly when the shot will break, an advantage for precision shooting while still remaining reliable enough for duty and home defense use.
Geissele Automatics was established in 2004 with the mission to build the highest quality, reliable triggers for competition and duty use; its first design, the Hi-Speed National Match trigger, was successful enough that the Department of Defense asked the company to produce a select-fire trigger for U.S. Special Operations.

Kinda of a let down

Heard and saw reviews online and YouTube videos and people say it’s an amazing trigger the best so I bought 2 stupid of me well the Trigger tech Diamond and blackout defense is way better. Not worth the price

I’ve used some really good triggers and there is no question of which one of them is my first choice. The SSA E-X. The pull weight and break and even the shape is really really sweet! For me it is what I compare other triggers to. Hard to have only one.

I swapped from a drop-in Timney trigger to this Geissele after multiple issues of the trigger not resetting from shoot suppressed for longer competitions. This trigger has performed flawlessly through multiple matches.
