When building or upgrading your AR-15 rifle, one of the most important components is the trigger. There are many triggers out there so you must ask yourself what are you are going to do with the rifle. Are you going to use it for plinking at the range, home defense, competition, or long-range precision shooting? The answer of this question will help you to understand what trigger you will need. The Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun (SD-3G) Trigger is designed specifically for 3-gun competition where extremely fast follow-up shots in close quarters are required. It features and extremely short length of pull with a quick reset that puts it between a two-stage and single-stage trigger while still benefiting from the safety and reliability of a combat two-stage trigger. This trigger is non-adjustable, but it comes with two trigger springs so you can choose to have either a 4lb. or 3.25lb. pull weight. The SD-3G is the perfect edition to your race gun that will help you master rapid follow-up shots and target acquisition while under pressure from the timer.
Geissele Automatics manufactures confidence, offering quality triggers and components for the warfighter and competitor. They were established in 2004 with the mission to build the highest quality, reliable triggers for competition and their first trigger, the Hi-Speed National Match trigger, was so popular that they were asked by the Department of Defense to produce a select-fire trigger for the United States Special Operations. Again, it was a success and Geissele decided to bring a semi-automatic version to the civilian market for law enforcement and personal protection.

Instantly my favorite trigger
by David
The SD3G moved to my #1 spot after the first few dry fires. Smooth, light trigger with super fast reset. I've shot dozens of triggers, including several Geisseles, and this one takes the cake. I have a SD-E on a scoped 6.8 SPC (my choice for a 2-stage precision trigger). The SD3G is just plain fun.
GREAT TRIGGER

Too much fun!

When I saw this on sale I had to have it. All of the performance of the Tac-Con trigger at around half the price. With a smooth, short pull and an absurdly close reset this allows shooting at near full auto speeds. That being said it does take a little getting used to. If the thing refuses to stop burst firing you can switch out the trigger springs to gain an extra pound of trigger pull weight. Making it into a trigger I can almost recommend for combat/self defense use. I have yet to meet anyone who has regretted getting one of these triggers. 😊
Best trigger money can buy!

Hands down the best trigger for 3 gun or any shooting sport that requires a super fast reset for follow up shots!

Just do yourself a favor and buy this trigger, already. I installed the lighter spring from the get-go and use this on my competition rifle. Those that have complained about bump fires, IMHO, are probably "slapping" the trigger instead of doing it properly and holding it back, then releasing the pressure until it resets. I can do rapid fire strings and have never had any issues with accidental/negligent discharges or bump fires. The trigger itself has a nice, clean, light break. The reset is what really sold me on this trigger--short, sweet, and tactile. The flat trigger face also helps lighten the perceived pull. Easy drop-in mod. Just do it!
