To make sure that the mount nut is fully tightened, turn the nut clockwise until resistance is encountered. After that, turn another 1/2 turn. If a torque wrench is being used, they recommend no more than 35-40 in-lbs.

Basic mount

I think it is a good product and well worth the money to buy more than one.
Perfect for my 10/22

This mount worked great when paired with the PRIMARY ARMS CLASSIC SERIES 3-9X44 SFP SMALL CALIBER RIFLE SCOPE - DUPLEX RETICLE.
Rail mount screw stripped
by Steven -
I could not find a recommended torque spec for this scope mount anywhere, so I initially attached this to the rail of my AR using a torque spec of 40 in/lb, as this is what I have used for scope mounts in the past. After zeroing the scope and firing a couple of mags, the zero started to drift, and I quickly realized the scope mount had loosened. I then tried re-tightened the mount to 60 in/lb, but the screw stripped. I will be contacting customer support for a refund, and will likely purchase a new scope mount that has more than 1 attachment point on the rail.
Seems like most people have not had any issues, and for $20 it might be worth giving this a shot.

Decent

I usually don't like cheapo 1"/30mm scope which have ring inserts. If it's 1" it could be lighter, and there's another layer which interferes with the grip to the scope body. To its credit, the inserts are aluminum instead of plastic. This also has a single-screw to hold it to the rail, but it does it over a large area. It's ok for the price, but I have buyer's remorse. 3 stars.
Frederick, it was good to speak with you, sir. We are happy we were able to get you taken care of!
Solid option for low recoil rifle

I put this thing on my M&P 15-22. Have to say its simplistic design and low price were big drivers, but I am very happy with the product.
I don’t think I would put it on an 5.56 platform, but it performs flawlessly with the PA 22LR scope on the firearm I mentioned above.

Great add on when purchased with the 3-9x44 optic special
Low cost works well

I have just purchased my 5th one of these. I've used them with a mixture of 1" and 30mm scopes. The cost is low, and I've had no trouble with the scopes holding zero.
A great mount at an unbeleivable price.

I have this on a TS12 Shotgun with a SOUSA 1-6 x 24 Scope. The cross screw is steel, the retaining nut is steel as well as the washer and lock washer it comes with. Tightened the nut with a quarter. Stays put and works just fine.
