The heart of the tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has the integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!
The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed for carry handle or AK use as well.

what a scope!

So after days of looking and research I settled on the primary arms 3x prism scope. Got it sighted in and WOW this thing is so clear!! Oh and bright, even as it was getting dark out I could see easily several 100 yds. Plus at dusk the illumination was amazing! Very happy with this scope!
Exactly what it says it is

Fits perfect. Works perfect.
This is a great optic and especially for the price. I wanted something quality that wouldn’t break the bank. I pulled the trigger on this one and I am so glad I did. Out of the box was pretty much on a few clicks to adjust and boom! Hitting all the steel targets with ease. There’s a target at 200 yards that’s sideways a little making it a 4” target amd I was hitting it no problem. I’m so glad I bought it. I was great on iron sights but this just stepped my game way up. Buy one!
I had a red dot with separate 3X magnifier
Was not happy with the set up
Did my research and came upon this optic
Took it to the range today and easily sighted it in at 100 yards with 20 rounds
Put another 20 on fresh target and could not be happier
Very clear, very defined, very crisp
I’m an old guy With glasses with no formal training and had very good groups
It was in back order when I placed the order, do not let that deter you. You will be happy you did . Good job to Primary Arms!
I bought this for hog hunting with my AR... I've always used red dots, but I have slight astigmatism, and I wanted something with some magnification. Magnifiers with red dots get blurry for me, but the ACSS reticle is awesome- no blur, sharp chevron that makes distance shooting easy, and a great big semi circle for CQB. The 3x magnification is just enough to make 100 yard shots easy but not so much that closer range targets are distorted.
This optic holds zero wonderfully even after taking it off and putting it back on repeatedly, and I have no problem shooting 1" groups at 100 yards from prone resting my rifle on a backpack.
I lost a lens cap last week crawling around in the woods stalking a hog, and after contacting PA to ask about buying a replacement, they just sent me another pair for free- awesome customer service.
Only con is that the optic is a little heavy, but you should work out more anyway.
Working man's optic
Gets it done for the price. Not everyone can afford to dump $1000+ on an ACOG, Razor, or Atacr but this optic is reasonable enough that an average guy with an average paycheck can buy it without breaking the bank. Its a bit on the heavy end for what it is but the 3x magnification is crystal clear even with my 20/70 right eye with astigmatism (without glasses!). Plus 3x can still be used with both eyes open at close range if you put in the time dry-firing with it and getting used to it.
I have acog Ta31 and this optic. The 3x is my favorite optic to have on my rifle! Primary arms make absolutely great optics.
Spectacular performance for entry level price
Terrific for people with bad eyes was shooting amazing groups with my smith and wesson mp15
Excellent Scope, Amazing Value, Beautiful Build, No Brainer
I bought this scope after extensive research, as my budget would not allow for a Trijicon ACOG, which was my first choice. WOW. Glad I saved my money and went with SLX. Simply amazing scope for the money. Crystal clear glass, solidly built like a tank, excellent "Cerekote" like finish, easy to zero with audibly tactile 1/4 MOA click adjustments for windage/elevation, and the ACSS reticle, which alone is purpose enough to buy this scope. I also have very bad astigmatism, and the reticle is crystal clear with no fuzziness, thanks to the easy focal point and brightness adjustments. I was able to place it in front of my Magpul flip-up sights with no focal point issues. In my opinion, this scope is just as well made, designed, and built better than most scopes that are triple the price. At the range, out of the box, shot 2" MAO groups at 25 yards, and 1" MAO groups at 10 yards for CQB without zeroing. Once zeroed, shot sub MOA groups from 10 to 50 yards using PMC 62 grain 5.56 green tips.
