The heart of the tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has the integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!
The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed for carry handle or AK use as well.

Just what I need! Love it!
Primary arms Gen III Prism scope
by Steve -
Tried out scope on 450 Bushmaster . I think the Gen III is a solid scope, however recticle seems way to busy and difficult to make fast follow up shots. If you are shooting 50 yards or less it may be fine, but for longer ranges , be warned. The lighted recticle is only useful at 7 or less . It gets way to bright above the 7 setting and washes out the chevron.
Very nice

The only thing I didn’t like was the made in China sticker on it
My Third GEn III Prism Scope w/ ACSS Reticle
by Paul Hodge -
This may be my favorite optic ever. This is my third purchase of this optic from Primary Arms. The other two are on a 7.62x39 AR Pistol and a 300 Blk AR Pistol. This one went on my 10.5” Palmetto State Armory .556/223 AR Pistol and it a perfect match. Fast acquisition of targets, clear glass, perfect magnification from 0 to 100 yard off hand. You can reach out further, but a good rest will be needed like any optic. The bullet drop indicators are right on if you are doing your job. This is a great varmint optic especially if you have to take a shot on a moving target. The optic is a no brainer for the money.

Excellent Scope, Amazing Value, Beautiful Build, No Brainer
by Aaron
I bought this scope after extensive research, as my budget would not allow for a Trijicon ACOG, which was my first choice. WOW. Glad I saved my money and went with SLX. Simply amazing scope for the money. Crystal clear glass, solidly built like a tank, excellent "Cerekote" like finish, easy to zero with audibly tactile 1/4 MOA click adjustments for windage/elevation, and the ACSS reticle, which alone is purpose enough to buy this scope. I also have very bad astigmatism, and the reticle is crystal clear with no fuzziness, thanks to the easy focal point and brightness adjustments. I was able to place it in front of my Magpul flip-up sights with no focal point issues. In my opinion, this scope is just as well made, designed, and built better than most scopes that are triple the price. At the range, out of the box, shot 2" MAO groups at 25 yards, and 1" MAO groups at 10 yards for CQB without zeroing. Once zeroed, shot sub MOA groups from 10 to 50 yards using PMC 62 grain 5.56 green tips.
Spectacular performance for entry level price

I have acog Ta31 and this optic. The 3x is my favorite optic to have on my rifle! Primary arms make absolutely great optics.
Working man's optic

Gets it done for the price. Not everyone can afford to dump $1000+ on an ACOG, Razor, or Atacr but this optic is reasonable enough that an average guy with an average paycheck can buy it without breaking the bank. Its a bit on the heavy end for what it is but the 3x magnification is crystal clear even with my 20/70 right eye with astigmatism (without glasses!). Plus 3x can still be used with both eyes open at close range if you put in the time dry-firing with it and getting used to it.
Fantastic

I bought this for hog hunting with my AR... I've always used red dots, but I have slight astigmatism, and I wanted something with some magnification. Magnifiers with red dots get blurry for me, but the ACSS reticle is awesome- no blur, sharp chevron that makes distance shooting easy, and a great big semi circle for CQB. The 3x magnification is just enough to make 100 yard shots easy but not so much that closer range targets are distorted.
This optic holds zero wonderfully even after taking it off and putting it back on repeatedly, and I have no problem shooting 1" groups at 100 yards from prone resting my rifle on a backpack.
I lost a lens cap last week crawling around in the woods stalking a hog, and after contacting PA to ask about buying a replacement, they just sent me another pair for free- awesome customer service.
Only con is that the optic is a little heavy, but you should work out more anyway.
