Your bolt carrier group is one of the most critical parts of your build -- don't buy an imitation. The Spike's Tactical AR-15/M16 Nickel Boron Bolt Carrier Group is made from 8620 steel with a 9310 tool steel bolt, finished entirely in nickel boron.

Nickel boron is much easier to clean than phosphate and can help a firearm run more reliably when heavily fouled or with little lubrication.

This is a great BCG quality craftsmanship, looks great feels great runs great I wouldn’t go with any other BCG for my AT15. The spider logo is just another awesome look to a great piece.
Dependable from the first round

Fast shipping from Primary Arms, received well packed. Disassembled and inspected all parts and applied a light coating of Ballistol, wiped down and reassembled. Slapped in a new 18” stainless Areo Precision upper and hit the range. After dialing in a 1x8 primary arms LPVO I was consistently smacking an 8” plate at 300yards. No issues with the new bolt after running about 60 5.56 rounds. Cleaning was as expected (very easy to wipe down) gotta love nickel boron bolts. Will be buying another for my next build :)
Nothing beats nickel

I have three nickel boron BCGs. I will never go back to the black nitrate BCGs again. You can see and feel the difference of the cycling immediately. Worth every penny!!

I shoot alot!! no BS 10 to 15k 556 a year. cheap parts kits fail, cheap bolts fail. I purchased this bolt September of 2020 by Christmas i had just over 7k rounds and zero cleaning on the rifle. The bolt was absolutely nasty when i broke the rifle down to clean, But everything just wiped right off. No scrubbing to clean. I should mention i had zero malfunctions with my AR. this bolt preforms. since January 2021 to current i have ran this bolt over 10 more k rounds in more than 8 various AR operators courses. Its absolutely impressive that the spike's bolt continues to preform. From purposely inducing malfunction, running gunning, heat, and drills after drills and I have yet to brake any piece of this BCG.

I learned on my 1st build ever many years ago, no other BCGs compare to Spikes Tactical.. especially the NiB versions. HPI / MPI tested, NiB coating perfect. Functions flawlessly as expected. I will never stray from Spikes for bolt carrier groups, doesn't matter the finish either as I have them all and every one of them in 11 ARs have never once let me down. Nothing but the best.
Cleans easier but still needs lots of lub

At one time claims were that nib needed no lub. But of course, that is ridiculous, if you care anything about your gas rings, cam pin, etc.

I’m not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I ordered this BCG from primary arms and it has functioned flawlessly for me EVERY TIME. I use this BCG in my patrol rifle, so I EXPECT it to work. It hasn’t let me down. Sure, you need to clean it and it has lost some of its color over time, but that’s normal. I have ran this thing on very little to no oil and it still spits out brass without complaint. Some guys like their bolts dripping with oil, it isn’t necessary with this one. Buy and you won’t regret it.

This is the 2nd Spikes Nickel Boron BCG that I've purchased in the last year and both are great. Perfect finish with no tool marks. Tight gas keys and bolts properly staked. Have not had a problem with either. And Primary Arms fast shipping makes for a perfect transaction.
