Strike Industries ARCH AR-15 Charging Handle - Extended Latch - Black

Forget the ignoramus who gave this handle 2 stars because it's made in Taiwan, this is a quality charging handle through and through. I normally put AXTS Raptors or BCM Gunfighters on all of my rifles but was working on a budget build for my friend when I saw this. I had previous experience with Strike Industries products, so I took a plunge. This thing not only looks nice, it functions great. It charges slicker than snot and has been run HARD with no signs of failure. I remember when Spyderco announced that they'd start making their top of the line knives in Taiwan and everyone started crying foul - now everyone accepts that the finest knives from that company are indeed made in Taiwan. Don't let the country of origin fool you. Taiwan is not communist China and they sure as hell know how to make a charging handle. I'll be putting these in future builds as I don't see or feel the additional $$$ spent on a more expensive charging handle. Buy one, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this charging handle as it looks similar to the BCM charging handles I usually use & about half the price, right off I noticed the finish looked like a Chinese copy item, it also has sharp edges that I would prefer not to have & lastly I went back to look at the package- it says made in Taiwan! Really!- I won't buy another & it's NOT worth the price & NOT made in USA!

I got the BCM gunfighter CH on one of my ARs and I like it; but for the money SI feels and functions the same or best. Installed on my new build and I can't tell the difference, if any I like the SI better; the latch has a better feel.

I have several different charging handles from a variety of manufacturers and this is on par with some that are twice the cost

I lubed it poorly for its first round out and about and it still exceeded expectations. Quality for money is unseen.

I ordered 2 of these to replace a couple of Standard handles. these appear to be much more robust. I didn't want to spend $45 or more for the BCM handles to replace all 9 of my current handles. I thought I'd try these... so far so good. 4 Stars since I haven't tested them on the range. Its been snowing and below zero temperatures. Will update after I test them.

I purchased the extended latch charging handle.It is well made and feels really good on the rifle. It's tough with little to zero flex.I do own handles from other sources like BCM and LMT. This one is just as good and a better price than most. It is made in Taiwan, that doesn't bother me, it is a good product at a good price regardless of what human or species created it.It does have some sharp edges, but not in any area you would grasp during use.I will be buying more.

I was very impressed with this product from strike industries.Great fit and finish and worked better than the standard one it replaced.Then one day at the range this handle suffered a terrible death.The latch came of the handle while charging my rifle.It wasn't the roll pin that failed but the latch itself had failed.The material around the roll pin was ripped from roll pin leaving it useless.Needless to say very dissapointed with what appeared to be a solid product.On the bright side PA let me send it back to them and gave me in store credit,so now i will purchase the BCM.Live and learn i guess.

If you plan on shooting suppressed, don't count on this charging handle having any "gas busting" characteristics. This handle works great on non-suppressed rifles as it has a very large latch that works great while wearing gloves. A friend and I were taking turn shooting 60 rounds each. The gas was coming back to such an extent that glasses were mandatory and to the point that you had to time your breathing to avoid choking on the fumes. We tried several aftermarket charging handles on this range trip and this one did the worst by far.
