A compensator is designed to take the high-energy propellant gasses from firing a round and redirect them in a way that reduces muzzle rise, felt recoil, or both. What if your comp could do more? Enter the Strike Industries Mass Driver Compensator! Unlike traditional handguns compensators, the Mass Driver's unique advanced design pushes forward as the slide kicks back. Now it not only redirects the propellant gasses to keep your muzzle flat, the reciprocating mass of the compensator pushing away from the slide helps to counteract felt recoil! The Mass Driver was designed to match the dimensions of your slide, allowing it to be used with popular open-bottom holsters, and can be installed without needing a threaded barrel or any permanent modification to your firearm.

Features:
  • Fits Glock Gen 3 G19 compact handguns
  • Counter recoil design
  • Snag-free blended design
  • Precision CNC machined steel construction
  • Tough Manganese Phosphate finish
  • 50 state legal
  • Does not require threaded barrel

Mass Driver Compact Gen3

I received my Mass Driver Compensator today for my Polymer 80 G 19. It was very easy to install (about 5 minutes). Very well made.

Impressive performance

I was skeptical that this would work as well as a barrel attached comp, but I’m sold. This noticeably reduces recoil when shooting +P+, and does not suffer the reliability a most attached comps do when shooting 115gr practice ammo.

Nice product but hard/tricky to install.

This comp set up is nice but difficult to install. The guidrod adapter tends to fly off while trying to install the assembly with the new spring, very difficult. Strike Industries need to redesign it with a method to capture the provided spring. The video posted here made it look easy to install, it was not easy IMO. I was going to use this on duty with a glock 19. I don't think that this product is duty ready at all. I dread taking it apart to clean at this point.

Good comp for the money.

Super fast shipping, great looking part, fits perfect on the G19 gen 3. Came with no instructions, just watch a video. Seems the video is a little out dated, I had a extra part after the install there is no washer on one end. You will need a vise that has smooth sides with a towel so you don't mark up the slide. If you can do that it is simple to install. I would give it 5 stars, but not to sure how to get this apart without having a vise near by. I installed this on a new Glock all factory parts, feels solid can't wait to try this out.

simple design and easy to install.

got this for my g19 and and was easy to install. Took me about 2 minutes to install. I wasn't sure if i needed the adapter or not because it fitted without it , but since it's there I just installed it . I loved that it came with a little tube of locktite. Can't wait to test it out.

Great comp

Originally shot this comp on my buddy’s Glock 19 back to back with my stock 19 and there was a big difference in muzzle rise. Installation was a breeze and the video was very easy to follow.

A Great Tool for Reducing Recoil

by

I have a nerve condition that runs from my wrist to my thumb on both hands that causes me sharp pain when firing my Glock 19 Gen 3. Anticipation of that pain was causing me to develop a flinch. I researched various compensators figuring that reducing the felt recoil would reduce the pain and enable me to stop the bad habit I developed. The science behind the Mass Driver is solid, and with this device there's no need to buy a threaded barrel, so that's a cash savings as well.

On the installation issue that some people seem to have a problem with, yeah, it takes a little patience because the spring isn't captured but it only took about 5 minutes to install.

And how did it shoot? From the first trigger pull I felt zero pain in my wrist. I would say there's probably a 50% reduction in felt recoil. The gun shoots flatter, follow up shots are quicker because you can stay on target. If you're thinking about getting a compensator for your Glock, this is the one.

Watch a install vid on YT if necessary

I have the G17 gen 3 version and it is a game changer. I have it installed on full size P80 frame so its a complete "Franken Pistol". Zero malfunctions. Now the installation is of a low to moderate difficulty level. Yes it's harder to install versus a thread on comp but the reliability of this comp is far superior in my experience and so worth it I'm purchasing another one.

A significant reduction to felt recoil.

Used on a Glock 19 with a Killer Innovations Velocity V1, mates with no issue. Install was simple, there's even a card that encourages you to view the install video prior. It was a first or second try thing, I'm not sure what difficulties users are having, it's far easier than changing an AK recoil spring. I wear lipstick and I was able to install it myself in a few minutes or less. Torqued to 25 in/lbs with blue loctite. It has not moved. I've only dropped about 20 rounds through it. One malfunction with 124gr HST standard pressure. Considering I've never read of any reliability problems, not sure if it was the comp, my grip or whatever. Clears a Streamlight TLR-1HL without any issues. Fits a Tenicor Malus Sol holster with no issues. It adds enough length that it will dig into you a bit if you crouch and bend while carrying appendix. Creates a noticeable upward jet of flames under night vision, but isn't unusable. If it proves to be reliable, I'll continue be satisfied with it.
