Holosun HS507C-X2 Pistol Red Dot Sight - ACSS® Vulcan® Reticle

5 stars based on first impression alone. First time pistol optic owner. Didn't pull the trigger before on a pistol red-dot due to astigmatism, and a little resistance to technology (I'm an old school pistol iron sights shooter). However, the chevron reticle convinced me. Received this thing last week, and initial impression was awesome. Even with astigmatism the reticle is clear. The giant circle makes finding the reticle fast and easy, and all the features listed work fine as expected. Now, once installed and taken to the range, I'll do a more comprehensive review including usability on an X5 Legion, zero retention, target acquisition etc. But, so far so good.

I just wish this was the only red dot I had. I have the trijicon sro and rmr. Also vortex viper and other holosun 507s but this one is the best. Giant outer ring makes the sight super nice easy to aquire.

Though red dots are great for people the don’t have as good near vision (Presbyopia), it can be difficult to find the dot if you presentation didn’t have it aligned through muscle memory. This reticle helps by giving you a circular reference which will naturally guide you to the chevron.

There is no sense buying the 507C without the ACSS. The large outer ring is amazing. If you are someone who says that you won't need it based on always being able to find the dot every time, get on the floor. Get on a knee. When your muscle memory is impeded by the physical situation, that ring puts you on target.

I finally got the ACSS Vulcan Reticle Holosun, and the rest of the red dot world just got punked! This PA reticle is a home run on a Holosun red dot. Now that I got my hands on one it will replace all others - as long as I can get them that is - the only negative I can share. IMHO, Holosun kills it already with features like solar panel battery backup, shake awake, and now with the ACSS Vulcan reticle? It is a blowout - again IMHO. This reticle allows even a novice shooter to find the red dot on a pistol, which we all know is the issue coming from iron sights. The rest of the industry should work with Primary Arms to get this reticle, or something like it - at least as an option. The net-net on this ACSS Vulcan reticle is that it grants even a novice, and/or new-to-red dot shooter, all the capability of hitting targets quickly, and accurately - it is foolproof.

My first pistol red dot sight - installation and zeroing was trouble-free. The combination of a chevron inside a circle makes locating the chevron very natural and minimizes time needed for the transition from iron sights only.
Having its own "solar panels" should maximize battery life.

Being new to RDS on pistols, dry fire training with this reticle made it very intuitive to quickly acquire the dot. Once my draw stroke and presentation became more consistent, I was able to turn off the larger ring and just rely only on the center delta every time. I may still turn the ring on considering it completely disappears if you're aligned properly and will only serve as an aide when shooting in awkward positions and muscle memory can only do so much. Can't recommend this enough.

Great optic, lets you find the dot faster in unusual/awkward positions. This one is on my primary carry. Holosun has been my go to red dot for several years now.

Love the optic and the reticle. Makes a red dot on a pistol much easier.
