Details
Each buffer is filled with high density tungsten powder and topped off with a MIL-SPEC bumper. Because of this, there aren’t any reciprocating weights inside to make a lot of noise and it also makes for a very smooth cycling rifle.
This 3.25" buffer is compatible with AR-15 MIL-SPEC and Commercial spec receiver extensions or 8" GI-spec AR-10/AR-308 receiver extensions.

I ordered this for my first build and since installing it and shooting it through my new .300 blackout, I quickly realized that it was to heavy to allow the bolt to fully cycle. The gas pressure of the .300 is not strong enough for the heavy buffer and I have since replaced it with a stock buffer, which has fixed the problem. Great piece though that I will be using once my can comes in.

super smooth

I put this buffer in a 12" upper with a carbine gas system and it shoots as smooth as a 16" with a midlength system using a H2 buffer. If/when this goes on sale, jump on it, you'll be glad you did.

I put this buffer in and i really like it. Between this spikes tactical buffer and a fossa 556 flash hider/compensator my ar15 shoots like a dream.

I put this in my AR pistol with great results, shoots so much smoother than it did before. No failures to feed but I was not able to rapid fire as I was at a range that did not allow that. I hope to get some time on a private range and put it through harder pace.

I really like how the st-22 smooths out percieved recoil on both my carbines and my mid length gas uppers. I have several of these and a few H1 and H2 buffers. I like the st-22 best for all around use.

Spikes Heavy Buffer

I tested a suppressed rifle this week with the Spikes heavy buffer installed. The heavy bumper seemed to smooth the action up and stacked my brass in a nice small circle. This also eliminated the hollow sounding spring ping. The Spikes heavy buffer was a definite upgrade from the stock buffer.

The cure for overgassed ARs

I was having FTF/FTE and double feed issues after changing gas blocks (over gas issue with carbine). The heavy buffer slowed the cycle speed down, allowing the spent brass to eject and the magazine to feed the next round before the bolt shuts. Tested with well over 100 rounds now and no more issues. No "twang" of the buffer spring, recoil is reduced as well. Great, solid part. PA is the best!
