Good Buffer System But Needs Heavier Buffer Options

by -

The A5 system is the best receiver extension on the market for an AR right now. The only thing keeping this kit from being perfect is that it ships with a very light buffer, meaning you'll have to buy a heavy one to get your rifle to run at its best. It's still a worth buying as it is right now, but just be prepared to pay for the right buffer. If they gave you the option of buying it with the buffer weight of your choice it would be perfect.

Awesome upgrade

Installed this on a Daniel defense M4A1 build and it functions reliably with any ammo 5.56 or 223 I would highly recommend this product!!!!

Put this on a 6.5 grendel, seems to function fine, can't really comment on it taming the recoil or anything as the rifle was never shot with a regular carbine buffer system. But I can say it cycles nice and smooth and consistently puts the brass in a nice little pile. Its an 8 position buffer tube but the holes are rather close so its kind of difficult to not slide past the one you might want. Other than that, its very well made, I would recommend it to anyone whose looking for a smoother functioning buffer tube assembly.
