This 16" barrel is manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art CNC machines and is thoroughly inspected at multiple stages of the build process to ensure quality. Precision machined from heavy duty 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, this barrel features a 6 groove button rifled bore to ensure consistent accuracy, with a 1:8 twist rate optimal for a variety of bullet weights. The mid-length gas system is designed for reliable and smooth cycling.
This barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and features an 11 degree target crown. To provide an added layer of protection, the barrel is finished with a durable salt bath Nitride coating. Designed by Diamondback Barrels Co., this barrel also features M4 feed ramps and is compatible with a wide range of AR-15 parts. The medium contour/profile of the barrel provides a good balance of weight and heat dissipation.

Good barrel for the price

Bought this barrel a few months ago when it was on sale. Fit and finish was good on the one I got. Gas port was off just a little, as others described. Not enough to affect gas block alignment or overall function (gas block can still be aligned correctly without being canted.) Only shot it for function test. I haven’t tried to zero it yet so can’t speak for accuracy.

Some reviewers are complaining of off center gas ports and burrs in the bore. I have no complaints out of the 3 I bought. They seem perfectly in spec. Great value for the money and I love the finish and profile of the barrel. Bores were a little dirty but cleaned right out with a brush, solvent, and a patch.

I haven't installed it yet, but it looks good. I've seen DB barrels with mis-aligned gas tube holes, this one looks correct. Nice nitride finish.
Better than expected

Had mixed reviews but was super on sale, so I took a chance.
Gas port is properly aligned
Finish was good after cleanup; comes dusty.
Muzzle threads weren’t perfect, but muzzle device went on with extra effort. Felt like I was grinding down burrs. But it came back off. And went back on.
Paired with a FosTech nitride BCG. Shot wonderfully.
90 total rounds of 55gr white box, 55gr Hornady vmax, and 62gr aguila ball. Ejected brass looked great.
Used super 42 spring and H buffer. Would not cycle the 62gr, until I switched to carbine spring and buffer.
Overall very pleased. Accuracy beat expectations.

I had read previous reviews about the gas ports being drilled off-center. My Son and I each bought 5 of these to build AR’s for our employees. Every one of them passed inspection and we are very pleased with the performance! Great budget barrel.

Very good barrel, no issues that I’ve found. Only thing that I would gripe about is that it is not dimpled for a gas block which is not the end of the world but it does help.
