This 16" barrel is manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art CNC machines and is thoroughly inspected at multiple stages of the build process to ensure quality. Precision machined from heavy duty 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, this barrel features a 6 groove button rifled bore to ensure consistent accuracy, with a 1:8 twist rate optimal for a variety of bullet weights. The mid-length gas system is designed for reliable and smooth cycling.
This barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and features an 11 degree target crown. To provide an added layer of protection, the barrel is finished with a durable salt bath Nitride coating. Designed by Diamondback Barrels Co., this barrel also features M4 feed ramps and is compatible with a wide range of AR-15 parts. The medium contour/profile of the barrel provides a good balance of weight and heat dissipation.

Great fit and finish

I bought this for an aero precision build and it runs great. I use a red dot so im not too concerned with grouping. I've run about a hundred rounds flawlessly. Very happy with my purchase

This is a great barrell if you re crown it, I've assembled many uppers with various manufacturers and it out shoots most of them, this past weekend I shot a 1/4 inch group at 100 yards with 40 grain Sig Sauer ammo, it shoots every quality ammo and every grain weight very very good! It's weak on the gas so be prepared to adjust accordingly and the crown was horrible on the 2 barrels I purchased.

Everything is just as it should be. Nitride coating, 1:8 twist, mid-length gas, clean machining. I'm not a precision shooter, so squeezing every last drop of accuracy isn't a priority. I've used this barrel in other builds and have had the same results. Get it and be sure of your purchase. It's quality
Great value for the price

This barrel is a great value for the price. I used it on recent build and was very happy with the results. The finish on the barrel is smooth, no burrs or machine marks to be found. This barrel holds a 2 inch group at 100 yards with cheap mil spec ammo. I didn’t expect a tack driver but I am very pleased with the results.

This last barrel purchase was my 3rd of the same make barrel. Diamondback Firearms, produces a good barrel at a low enough price point, that Primary Arms can pass a good price on to us in a low retail pricing. Great for first time builders are anyone wanting a good range build for light target practice.
If you are assembling one to carry in a war zone, this might not be the barrel for you. But remember, I never heard of anyone actually getting to fight with just exactly what they wanted. It always seems to be with what they had at the time!

Decent for on sale price

Seems like a good barrel, still haven't grouped it yet. It was under gassed,would eject the spent case, but would not pick up next round. Opened up the gas port on the barrel (just a tad too much) put on an adjustable gas block and now its doing fine. My suggestion is if you get one and it seems under gassed is to just get a 46 bit and clean the hole.
Excellent bang for your buck

Well made barrel, cleanly machined. Profile is lighter than expected (about equal to a 14.5” mid length govt. profile), perfect for an all-rounder build. Only thing I can count against it is the nitride finish isn’t an ultra deep black, but it’ll do it’s job and for the price it doesn’t bother me a bit. Will probably grab another one or few, can’t beat it.
