This 16" barrel is manufactured in-house using state-of-the-art CNC machines and is thoroughly inspected at multiple stages of the build process to ensure quality. Precision machined from heavy duty 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, this barrel features a 6 groove button rifled bore to ensure consistent accuracy, with a 1:8 twist rate optimal for a variety of bullet weights. The mid-length gas system is designed for reliable and smooth cycling.
This barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and features an 11 degree target crown. To provide an added layer of protection, the barrel is finished with a durable salt bath Nitride coating. Designed by Diamondback Barrels Co., this barrel also features M4 feed ramps and is compatible with a wide range of AR-15 parts. The medium contour/profile of the barrel provides a good balance of weight and heat dissipation.

Good barrel

Fits well, no gas block if you’re building a 5.56 rifle (I’m using it to build a dedicated.22). It will be fine for that application. It was a very good price for what I paid for it. Was a little rough in finish or I’d give it 5 stars. (Sharp edges, no gas block, etc.)
Great Improvements

Just got my DB barrel. Have not installed it yet, but I have inspected the barrel. First the gas port is aligned and the barrel is now dimpled. These were two complaints I read on reviews. DB has listen to customers and ensure at lease on this barrel the gas port alignment is correct, but improved on the barrel by providing dimpling for the gas block. Less work for me.
Decent, but gas port is off center

Like others have said, the gas port was not in line with the index pin. Mine was slightly to the right if you're looking down the barrel from the barrel extension end. Didn't notice it when I installed the gas block, so the one time I've ever installed a gas block straight on the first try resulted in a gun that couldn't cycle. I can never catch a break. But anyway, I don't think the gas block being slightly canted is that big a deal as long as it isn't a front sight block or one that a front sight attaches to. Aside from the gas port issue, the barrel seems decent enough to pick up on sale. Just be aware that you need to thoroughly inspect your barrel before installing it.
The barrel really works well

Hung this on my Looter Shooter. With home-rolled MK262 Mod1, the barrel has fired numerous 1MOA groups from a bag rest at 100yds. You cannot ask for much better than this for the $$$.

I purchase this barrel for a build and I am very pleased with the quality, it shot well with the loads I had that worked in one of my others I no longer have, it groups very tight, I like the machining and finish the price was right also. Good stuff.

2 for 2 perfection

I bought 2 of these . One I used to replace my wife's barrel. When I rebuilt her rifle, I used the original barrel that formerly had a pinned A2 gas block. The new gas block wouldn't gas properly because the screws on the new low pro gas block were unstable in the grooves cut into the barrel. Shoots perfectly now.
The other went into rebuilding my son's rifle and replacing his carbine gas system with a mid length. This gun was unstoppable before the rebuild. I can't believe how much smoother it shoots now.

I used this barrel for more of a beater rifle build and it's worked great so far. I have over 1000rds through it now. The gas port hole was drilled off center but not so far that it caused an issue. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

Despite being pretty inexpensive, these are very good barrels and all of the ones I have bought are very accurate. Well worth the price.
