The SLx® 1x MicroPrism is an all-new advanced optical system designed from the ground up in an ultra-compact housing, allowing use of backup iron sights and magnifiers. The 1x MicroPrism is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics built the reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment. In this case, Primary Arms put the optic through over 7,000 rounds of .308 through a SCAR 17s.

Excellent!

Another recommendation for this MicroPrism. I have astigmatism as well as cross eye dominate. The etched reticle is crystal clear and easy to acquire keeping both eyes open while alternating strong and support side on my AR-15. It survived two 8 hour training days zeroed at 50 yards. Held zero no problem and groupings were tight. I have an EOTech EXPS3 also which has a wider view to acquire than the MicroPrism, but my acquisition didn't seem to suffer any with the PA ACSS. The illumination control is a bit bulky and I think I would have preferred it on the top opposed to the left side to not obstruct my full view, but overall not a real hindrance.

This sight replaces my Romeo5 on my AR-15. And the one that I just ordered will replace the Romeo5 on the KSG.
The etched reticle is very easy to see, as is the illuminated one. Auto on/off is essential for a defense, or "Red Dawn," weapon. It feels extremely durable. The ACSS reticle allows much faster target acquisition than a 2 MOA dot.
The customer service is fantastic! Their level of expertise regarding their products is very high. Their manner is courteous, and rapport-building. And they're email responsiveness is very prompt.

-Mounted to my 11.5” 5.56; no issue.
-Fired 3x rounds at 50yds for zero (M193).
-All 3 rounds touching one another in bullseye.
-That’s weird.
-Fire 3x more rounds, all touching right in bullseye.
-hmm...
-Fire 4x more rounds. Have an inch-ish 10x round group at 50yds.
This thing came out of the box perfectly zeroed at 50yds with 55gr 5.56 M193 out of an 11.5” barrel. Could not be happier.

The Primary Arms SLX 1x MicroPrism (red) was well worth the money which wasn't that much for the quality of the product. Easy to zero and held zero during two 8 hour training days. Its great that different mounting option attachments are included. I am cross eye dominate with an astigmatism and this was easy on the eyes and felt natural on both strong and support side. I highly recommend it.

This thing is just perfect . I have no complaints. It comes with perfect risers . Looks great. Functions great. Holds zero perfect . Etched reticle is great. Just buy it .you'll love it . READ THE DIRECTIONS.
New favorite carbine optic

Selected to go onto a new Hellion.
I wanted all the speed of a RDS with as much precision as I could manage, but was unwilling to compromise on weight or bulk. This does the trick.
Diopter setup was weird, but eventually let me focus and set depth equal to natural eyesight. Feels indistinguishable from a good red dot, except without the smudge. Except, the ACSS reticle is as precise or more than a good set of target irons, which nets back in some of the accuracy lost going to a 1x optic over an LVPO.
Adjustment clicks are mushy and indistinct, but they do the job and are unintrusive afterward.
Lighting could be brighter at maximum settings, but I appreciate the battery life.
Very lightweight, very natural, close to unlimited eyebox.
The ARD is kinda underwhelming though. It doesn't thread in well and does not want to come out once it's in.

This is great for my stigmatism, red dots always had a smear to them that made precision difficult at times. The etched reticle removes that issue while still being low light capable with it's illumination setting. I'll be replacing my RDS's on my main rifles with these.
Good and bad

The glass, size, and weight are great. Worth the money.
I do have two problems with the topic. 1) The electronics are not great. The illumination of the reticle has begun to flicker when I shake the optic -- and even worse when I shoot. 2) The mini acog interface does not have a wide array of mounts to choose from.

This thing is built like a rock. Clarity is absolutely clear and bright. Cant believe how great the reticle is, has no effect on my astigmatism. Am looking at the 3x variable also.

Great optic! Clarity is excellent, easily pick up targets and transition from one to the next. Tons of mounting options included. I think they could actually cut back on these and make the price even more attractive. One of the best optics at any price I've used. My ONLY grip is that this is not a 1X view. It's more like 0.7x. Up close this isn't a huge deal, but for any targets at medium to long distance it makes a huge difference. it actually makes it very difficult to acquire targets with both eyes open because the difference in sight picture between your non-optic eye and the Microprism eye are so different. Make it a full 1X and it would be perfect.
