Anderson 16” good deal
Very surprised for the price. It had decent accuracy. Milled well, only a few hundred rounds but good. People like to make up stuff to sad
Great Barrel, Not 1:8 Twist Unfortunately
by Dustin -
The quality of the barrel is solid. The machining and finish are on par with what you'd expect from a barrel. The twist rate as stamped on the barrel, however, is 1:9. Not the advertised 1:8. That wasn't a big issue for me, but was a little disappointing. The listing for this needs to be changed. Other than that no complaints.

Paired this with my Anderson upper and lower. Love my new build
Good enough for me. Accuracy Sat. Headspace w/in spec.

Replaced a barrel on a PSA upper. (was putting a M lock handguard on and did not want to bother with the A frame sight removal.) Went on fine, checked with go and no-go guages, spec'd out just fine. Fired 200 rounds of hand loads through that hit satisfactorily with iron sights. +/- 1-2" at 100 yds. standing. (Few fliers, but that was me and my jerky finger.)
I used this to build a rifle. It has performed beyond my expectations. Accuracy has been ridiculous for such an inexpensive barral. It is now my favorite rifle. ans i have some high end rifles. LWRC, Knights A, JP, HK. Do not hesitate to buy this barrel for a build
NOT WITHIN SPEC
Just checked the headspace on this barrel, unfortunately it is not within spec, not usable at all. Got this barrel practically for free as a bundle....now it's just a nice paper weight.
Spend the extra money

The headspace was horribly off. Three gunsmiths said I could not use the barrel.

ANDERSON MANUFACTURING 16″ M4 CARBINE CONTOUR BARREL CHAMBERED 5.56 WITH A 1-8 TWIST M4 FEED RAMPS

Nice looking barrel. Snug fit in a Anderson Mfg. stripped upper. No complaints, Just finished build, and I have yet to be able to get to the range to be able to report accuracy. To be completely honest, if it couldn't hit the blind side of a barn I would still be happy with it because it went on my first complete build!
Scuffed exterior; Not a beauty queen.
by Josh -
I had to double check my order because both barrels i received were scuffed up and i thought maybe id purchased a blemished item. Nope, they just looked like they had been used in a build. The barrel was at least clean and looked straight.
Perfect for my budget build, nice quality.
Very nice barrel, great price. Fits perfect with my Anderson upper (purchased here on sale). Fast shipping. A+ for these guys.
Looks great. Fits perfect. Headspace is good to go. Can't wait to shoot it.
Excellent barrel with good ammo
Like this barrel really well.Shoots 1/2" moa at 100yds with 55gr austrailian outback ammo.3x9x50 cheap tasco scope on ar15.
Hard to beat for the money and accuracy!
Supreme Quality and Accuracy.

I built up a plinker AR15 with this barrel. It is insane quality for the price. With a little over 1200rnds through it now, it is turning in consistant 2MOA groups at 100yds with a non magnified Vortex StrikeFire.
This session was shot today 10/26 in 50degree downpour rain,at 100yds, sandbagged of cement shooting table, for 90rnds I had a consistent 2" hole in the center of the target with a few flyers outside of that.
With a Burris 3-9X40AR scope it is turning in 1/2 MOA groups. Both sessions were shot with the same lot of Am Eagle 55gr FMJ red box.
This session was shot July 9th in 75 degree weather sand bagged off a cement shooting table.
I have other "Premium" Ar's that don't shoot that consistently
You cannot go wrong with this barrel, for quality.
I have two more in storage for future builds.
