After rigorous field testing, this optic has been given a Silver-tier rating by the National Tactical Officers Association.

This Primary Arms red dot sight is part of the SLx optics line. SLx optics built their reputation for innovation, reliability, and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The humble microdot is a hard-to-beat package when you want speed without adding a lot of weight to your firearm. The venerable 30mm red dot is a great option for shooters who prefer to have speed AND a wide field of view through their optic. The SLx MD-25 is here to offer the perfect balance between the two with a compact design that weighs barely 2 ounces more than a standard microdot, yet offers the same field of view as a 30mm red dot! Add in super bright, daytime illumination, an up to 50,000-hour battery life, and the next generation ruggedized micro mount and you'll see how we're pushing the envelope for fast, lightweight optics!

Features:

  • Wide field of view
  • Compact, lightweight, and durable
  • Crisp 2 MOA red dot
  • Up to 50,000 hour battery life (5+ years) at medium setting

  • Fog resistant

The SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.

The SLx 25mm red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

by -

I'll start by saying this is the first time I've been disappointed by a product that primary arms offers. That being said, I'm highly disappointed in this item. Even in a walk in closet with no lights on pitch black darkness the n1 and n2 settings give no dot at all. It only works on settings 3 and higher. Even at that from settings 3 to 6 the dot is nearly impossible to see unless you are in complete darkness. From settings 7 to 11 even under bright light the dot burst progressively worse. Setting 11 burst out so terribly bad that even under the brightest shop lighting I have it makes your sight picture unseeable. The frustration and time it would take me to send this back and get another one simply isn't worth it either, seeing that it took two weeks to get to me the first time. I'll probably still buy other products from primary arms but after this I highly doubt I'll ever buy any kind of optic here again.

Rookies, read this!

I received my new red dot fast and in nice packaging in good shape and was really happy with it. Then I noticed the front lens was angled at maybe 25゚. In true rookie fashion I thought "this doesn't seem right I'd better return this". As it turns out, all red dots are this way. It's crooked because the laser is on the side and it focuses on the middle so to get into your eye in the center it has to be canted. In the end, customer service was really helpful, they returned the red dot back to me in fantastic condition, and I feel stupid and wanted to make sure everyone else knew that it was supposed to be that way. They said it happens all the time, and they weren't sure how to make sure everyone knew. So I'm doing my part.

Consistent

Quality is almost consistent among the 4 sights I purchased in the last two months with only very slight bloom on one more than another, I personally feel you’re getting about $200 dollars worth of product for way less.

Nice

Nice quality glass, rugged construction, great base options included in the box, really nice finish. I mounted it as an absolute co-witness on a BCM upper and as expected, my astigmatism caused it to flare BUT then flipped up the rear sight and the flare disappeared….

If you are left handed read this

First, I own about 30 red dots ranging from $30-$150, I am always looking for best value and purpose of use. I received my MD-25 and was nothing short of shocked at how well it is made. It makes much more expensive optics feel like toys. Glass good to great, 30mm instead of 20mm that are usually in this price range, priceless. For Lefties, the knob being on the right side is perfect for us. Will buy again, very happy.

Md-25 red dot getting a lot for little$

by

I like this red dot a lot it keeps the ar's weight down , comparing it to my aimpoint pro it's lighter smaller and looks like a quality optic the clarity's not quite the same but it will work for me just fine . I put it on a ar that , I wanted to keep the weight and cost down but still have a dependable rifle I have accomplished that I would recommend to friends the downsides mention by some of the adjustment dial being too stiff is warranted but mine seems to being a little less stiff after about three or four turns on the dial it will probably be fine after a while the knob does cut down on my vision being on the left as stated by some probably will not get used to it but if your left handed it would be great for you . I like it more than I thought I would if I had substantial money to spend I would buy a aimpoint t2 but this is less than I allotted for the optic and am totally satisfied.

Perfect replacement for Sparc II

by -

Had to replace a Sparc II on a firearm. This is a great sight, it might even be better than the Vortex Sparc it replaced.

Killer Dr, deal, and service

A great DOT. Mounted on a Clark barreled S&W Model 41. Way more accurate than I am.
Only negative was the low profile mount included did not match rail. Lug spacing was off a little.
Took a file and slowly knocked a little off until it had a gunsmith fit. Was like filling a match barrel to a 1911.almost tight enough it will stay on without tightening.

These are great little sites. Easy to use easy to set up highly visible. I got the IR honeycomb filter in bikinis. Awesome sites recommend you buy several of them.

Perfect durable and clear

by

This red dot is the best for the money. It’s clear and continues to hold zero after hundreds of rounds have been fired. It comes with a lot of different mounting hardware for multiple height configurations. My only complaint is it doesn’t come with caps. Butler Creek Blizzard series flip up scope caps work perfectly. The Blizzard series are see through so you can see your dot with them closed. Some of the other comments in these reviews are not right as far as what size caps to order. You’ll need two different sizes as one opening on the red dot is slightly smaller than the other one. I chose the Butler Creek Blizzard series size 1 and size 2. They’re about 10-15 dollars a piece. Size 2 was hard to find but eBay had them.
